There used to be a company that built log cabins here. I don't know which saw was cooler, their Mafell beam saw or the Mikita 16 in circ saw.

I'm no expert on either of these saws, but both have the power and stand you would want, and aux fence slots for jigs and sleds. I can't remember who said it but basically they said the blade is almost as important as the saw. Here's a good article about different blades. I did a lot of searching last night, I couldn't find any manufacturer listing their draw amps. It seems that almost every other tester found the same thing. I'm guessing that drill/drivers use a constant amount of power, assuming full trigger pull. While impacts or hammer are more as needed draw, and since the larger ah have a higher max discharge rate they can put out more torque.

I think the confusion that is arising here is the difference between ah and ah/h. Ah ( amp hours) is the batteries capacitance or volume, for lack of a better word, of stored power. ah/h (amps hours per hour) is a draw or discharge rate.
