  1. Actually...no. I have to build a crib. And......yeah. I got no money
  2. yeah! I hope the come up this way!
  3. Oh, and nice job on the chairs, they look great and solid.
  4. Gotcha. What about setting up a booth or Dias and putting the chairs on it? Did you take pics of the build? If so, a three minder explaining the charity as well as the build and the commitment to donate the cash to the facility. Might help offset your efforts with foot work, shaking hands and kissing babies to gather the ticket sales. Plus a little bling to your project will only make it better.
  5. Well.....it'll only get worse.
  6. How many people are attending the event? I find that most raffles do really well with a well attended event. The cause is just therefore people won't mind dropping the cash on a worthy cause, especially a children's hospital. As far as knowledge of where the money goes? If you dropped a $105 on Cedar and bolts, saw blades etc and time and am willing to let the time and cost of materials go 100% towards the cause, that would make me want to buy tickets. As far as minimum proceeds, I think my first sentence might guide you into a realistic number. $200 might end up being low depending on the turnout.
  7. Dude. In my house, not only is WD40 a tool....it's a condiment.
  8. Yellow is a good Color Phil!!!!
  9. Though I didn't get him the right angle attachment! I read on the FOG that the right angle will fit!
  10. Yup, I sure did. I gave it to my Dad for his birthday last year. Awesome drill, German made, on par with my T18. My T18 is smaller but the Fein is every bit a high quality, light weight machine with many high end functions.
  11. Yeah, here is the one available here in the US http://www.amazon.com/Metabo-631078000-Right-Angle-Drive/dp/B00069L9M8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1463184155&sr=8-1&keywords=Metabo+right+angle i heard this one will also fit the Fein 18v drill that everybody got last year from the Tool Nut.
  12. http://www.amazon.de/Metabo-8-Volt-Akku-Bohrschrauber-PowerMaxx-Bit-Box-32-tlg/dp/B01956YC12/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1463184063&sr=8-11&keywords=Metabo+10.8
  13. Yeah sorry dude. I'm right there with you. Plus the kit, which was really not too expensive, had the right angle attachment that I love on my CXS
  14. Kruton, I ALMOST bought the 10.8v kit on Amazon UK. THEN.....I realized they don't have a compatible charger here in the US
  15. Actually I am a pretty big fan of their blades too.
  16. I'm up for the Bosch but man I'd love to try that Metabo line! I've got 5 Bosch 12vs....2 heated jackets (awesome), the FL12 light (friggin awesome), the 12v vacuum (great for sawdust cleanup around my tools but not much else) and my brushless 12v screwdriver. Awesome little gun. My favorite compact that unfortunately is one of a kind???? My Festool CXS. Honestly the most handy drill driver I've ever used. It's technically a 10.8v but so are most of the other 12v tools.
  17. Festool and yes, like the Dewalt and Makitas you can use connecting bars to attach two rails together. The key is to put your saw on the rail at the connection between the two before tightening down the screws to ensure the tracks are straight!
  18. Well there you go. If your going to step up from the contractor grade and step into woodworking and furniture building I have checked the Delta out and it gets a lot of good reviews. Also has a solid fence. Fit and finish is pretty nice and this was a real contender for me when I was in the market and truthfully it is a solid performer. The Ridgid saw is also very solid and well thought of but I was seriously looking at the Delta for the fence set up.
  19. Welcome to the forum John!
  20. Linking them can be a pain but consequently it's nice having varying sizes. I have three regular length rails and a 118".
  21. http://professional-power-tool-guide.com/power-tool-forum/index.php?/topic/1297-welcome-to-the-tia-forums/ Sorry @Hugh Jass but the rules say no politics. Jason spoke on this already as far as it not getting out of hand but the forums are designed to keep that ugly side out. Kind of like why my Dad and I don't talk politics. Actually my Wife and I don't either. Not worth the headache!
  22. Depends on the manufacturer but in many cases the model number is the model number. Sometimes a call to the manufacturer is all it takes. I'm not sure about the serial number though. Unless the company has a unified way of manufacturing and assigned different numbers and letters to indicate different parts etc I don't know how they would do it.
  23. Welcome to the forum Jeremy! Glad to have you aboard dude
