  1. I've got a couple of vaughns, an old estwing claw hammer and a few craftsman hickory handled ones. They are all ball pein except the estwing. I use the Vaughn the most though.
  2. That would drive me insane looking for a socket. Their cases aren't bad at all. I haven't had an issue with mine. I don't have a picture of them or I would show you.
  3. Just to warn you, knipex stuff is addicting. You can't own just one.
  4. I have the two 3/8 sunex sets too. They don't skip sizes and they cover a wide variety of sizes. I think that they went from 5/16 to an inch and 8 to 24mm. If I remember right I gave about $90 each. Mine have both the shallow and deep sizes too. They fit very tight too. Let us know how you like them.
  5. I noticed the grip felt different right away on my gen 2 3/8 impact. It feels better and it seems bigger around than my 1/2 impact. I like it more.
  6. The new corvettes use a fingerprint scanner to unlock the door.
  7. I haven't found a bolt yet that the 1/2 can't take off. This thing doesn't even break a sweat with lug nuts. I compared it to the newest snap on 18v impact in a thread farther down and it blew it out of the water. I haven't used the 3/8 yet so I can't tell you how it does.
  8. My grandpa has an Eastwood shrinker and stretcher set that basically does the same thing. His are hand operated though. They work great for sheet metal. If you guys are interested I can post a link to them.
  9. Nowadays it is usually anywhere from 80 to 120 ft lbs. I know my dad says with his one ton, it's a 1980 Chevy, you have to let his air impact hit for four or five seconds or he said they would work loose. If you were to have a flat tire you would be screwed because they would be way too tight to remove with a breaker bar.
  10. What do you plan on using it for?
  11. That's a heck of a deal Kruton! What brand was the die grinder, was it a mighty seven too?
  12. Tia has been getting recognized a bunch lately
  13. I've heard that those torque sticks only work with an air impact and not a cordless impact. I don't know if tgat is true or not though.
  14. That definitely isn't a spring. It is a retaining ring. That style is referred to as a spiro-lock. They are a huge pain to install. They are commonly used on aftermarket pistons and wrist pins in an engine. You can try and reinstall it but if it is bent much at all odds are it won't work. If the blade change mechanism works fine I would just take it off.
  15. It's $1.47 in my area. Now that gas is so cheap my dad has started to drive his 540 cubic inch powered Chevy truck daily. He only has to drive a couple of miles to work though. I can fill up my truck for under $30 and I love it especially since I go through a tank a week.
  16. What is the tooth count on those ratchets?
  17. Did they say where they were getting them from? I told Eric about a place in my hometown that makes all kinds of hats.
  18. You could just clamp the anvil of the ratchet in a vise and then turn it until something happens.
  19. I've only used new snap on dual 80s and they have too much back drag for me. I don't know if they eventually wear in and get better though but new they are horrible. I like them other than that though.
  20. I have owned the roto ratchet for over three years now and it hasn't skipped a beat. I have used the 90 tooth for everything and there have been a few times where I should have used a breaker bar and it still has held up fine. Both are as smooth as day one. I'd highly recommend them.
  21. I use a 100 tooth Carlyle roto head ratchet and a long 90 tooth as my go to ratchets. I love them and have never had an issue with them so far. They are available at your local Napa auto parts. The 90 tooth was just a bit over $40. If they were to break warranty would be a breeze too. You just take it to the store and they hand you a new one.
  22. One is an impact driver and another is just a screwdriver.
  23. Perfect reason to get the Milwaukee 3/8 impact.
