  1. This impact definitely has the power to break lug studs off. I haven't with mine but I usually used mode one or just a couple of hits with the trigger on mode 2. You definitely need to be careful using this tool.
  2. My Milwaukee 2754 made it today. This thing is light and incredibly small.
  3. That's a great price on the two pack of angle grinders.
  4. Same here. Mine are a few years old and have held up fine. The Irwin pliers are at lowes aren't they? My local lowes never had them in stock.
  5. I notice a difference on my 1/2 impact too. The bigger batteries are capable of delivering more amperage if needed. Certain tools don't pull enough to notice a difference. Saws and grinders are going to pull more amps than what the 1.5 ah battery is capable of providing therefore the tool is less powerful. You put a 4.0 on it and the battery can provide more current than what the tool can use so it is at full power.
  6. Thanks for the link Mondo. I'll probably hold off on getting it for a while until I really need it.
  7. I'll probably get it at some point. It has a couple of scratches on the nose and one on the plastic housing where it fell off the alignment lift but it only suffered cosmetic damage. Do they sell it in stores or online only?
  8. I tried to shear a 1/2 grade 8 bolt again and this time the bolt finally gave. I used two grade 8 nuts and a couple of washers. The bolt actually crushed one of the washers so hard that it made it break into a few pieces. The washer underneath it was bowed in a lot too. I have owned this gun for about three months now and I wish I would have bought it sooner. I have also used my classmates snap on a few times since then and I don't like it at all, it is super nose heavy and it will get hot just taking a set of tires off. I also ordered the gen 2 3/8 impact and it should be here early next week. The same classmate also has the snap on 3/8 18v impact and I'll try and get some pictures to compare the two.
  9. My uncle works for a drilling company and his post is an old auger off a drill rig. Needless to say it hasn't been taken out.
  10. That sucks man. We had to replace our post last winter, them mailbox was fine though. My dad got it with the blade on our tractor while clearing the snow off our driveway and he hit it while turning around. We have gone through at least three mailboxes in the last ten years. Our mailbox was hit a couple of years ago and this time we just left it instead of replacing it.
  11. You are going to love it Jimbo. I have one and haven't touched an air impact since. I have owned mine since early November and it has worked great. What will you use it for?
  12. That is true. You only need so many drills.
  13. It's a good thing that the nearest HD is an hour away. I'd be there almost everyday otherwise. If I saw that m12 fuel drill there I would probably pick one up. That deal is too good to pass up.
  14. Dan and Eric sent me the 3/8 version of this and I also wish it had a bit more power too. It has seen a lot of use though. It also entered me into the m18 line and now I have the big 1/2 impact and I just recently bought the 3/8 too.
  15. How has the lazer etching held up on the tips of your guys screwdrivers? Does it eventually wear off or does it stay on. This is what my ph2 screwdriver looks like after some use. Some of the gold coating has worn off but it still fits great so far.
  16. Can we have a hint as to what it is Jimbo
  17. I think that the old xrp packs were either 2.2 or 2.4 amp hours. It probably has something to do with the higher amp draw with the 4.0 or higher packs.
  18. The capacitor should discharge and since you don't have the battery in it nothing should charge it back up. Do the LEDs run on the battery?
  19. Worked for me comp. It looks like it works pretty good too
  20. If you are looking at getting a good high torque cordless impact wrench, Milwaukee, dewalt and makita are the best options. I have the Milwaukee 2763 and it is an absolute monster. The runtime is great too. I don't have the compact impact wrench yet though. I just ordered it today and it should be here later this week.
  21. Now that I think about it the does seem right. There was something on it that would allow a 7/8 disc to be evenly spaced. My grinder is at home and I'm at school or else I'd take a picture.
  22. My corded Milwaukee grinder has a washer that has a raised portion that is 7/8 and the wheels work fine on them. I would think your grinder is the same.
  23. I ordered the Milwaukee gen2 3/8 impact today. I'll post pics when it gets here sometime
