  1. Looks great Carl, not only does it look good but it will give you peace of mind knowing your son can't run into the road now. It will probably help property value too.
  2. I finally got to use this impact today and it definitely has some power. I used it to remove a rear end cover and an axle on a 2000 Chevy one ton 4wd. The truck had a full floating axle so they unbolt from the wheel hubs and pull out. While I was next to the wheel I figured I would try it on a lug nut and if also took it off no problem too. All of this was on a compact battery too.
  3. Sears does have the 10 inch. At least mine did. I picked mine up there a good while ago and don't regret getting them one bit. I do regret not getting them sooner though.
  4. We used a dial indicator on the engine we built.
  5. Is the first tool to make sure the engine is at TDC?
  6. Does the first one involve the valve train in any way?
  7. I honestly have no clue right now.
  8. I noticed that none of my pictures made it over.
  9. Bosch and fein worked together on the whole thing.
  10. When it comes to jack stands there is no such thing as overkill. We don't have anything smaller than 3 tons here. Granted none of our vehicles weigh under two tons other than my four wheeler.
  11. Sounds like when I was going to check the rear brakes on my truck last year. One thing led to another and about $180 later I had new rear brakes and I flushed all of my old brake fluid out.
  12. I'm not even going to click the link because I know I will wind up buying too much.
  13. Nope. I doubt anyone knows IR makes 18v stuff here. The Milwaukee stuff is readily available here. A couple of my instructors are looking at getting the Milwaukee impact after seeing mine. A couple of people in my class don't like it but they are massive snap on fanboys and they say it has too much power, is that even a thing?
  14. While I was shooting the video of the 1/2 impacts earlier today I also shot one of the new gen 2 fuel 3/8 impact. I compared it to my old craftsman c3 1/2 impact and it is rated at 200 ft lbs. once I start using it more I will keep you guys updated on how it does. At some point I will also try and compare it to the snap on 18v 3/8 impact.
  15. I tried the test again but this time with a 7/8 inch bolt. Here is how it went. I should have a video of the 3/8 up soon.
  16. That looks like it hurt quite a bit. Hope she gets well soon.
  17. I didn't exactly find this truck on the street but it is my uncles 85 Chevy crew cab longbed truck. He fixed it up a couple of years ago and also swapped a 5.9 Cummins in it along with a nv4500 5 speed. He has an 86 single cab that he is getting ready for another 5.9 Cummins swap.
  18. I bought the same set last year and they work great. Make sure that they are made in Taiwan, I've heard that the Chinese ones weren't as good.
  19. Let us know how you like that impact. What is the torque rating on it?
  20. Leasing a car is almost unheard of here. Most people buy a new car or either a used low mileage car.
  21. Congrats on the new wheels Jason! How do you like it compared to your old Cruze?
  22. Nice video Jimbo! I don't care for the reversing on those black ratchets but man are they quiet. They look super good too. What sockets were you using? Is it now time to upgrade them too?
  23. With you doing that, you can tell us if it is true or not.
