  1. Tekton makes a similar version for $11 for the 1/2 drive.
  2. I actually ordered a set of metric long combos this morning.
  3. Thanks man! I'll check and see what the drawer dimensions are on my box and I'll see how they compare. I think I'll go with the Napa cart when I do get one. I plan on getting some wrenches, socket organizers and hopefully the m18 stick light this week so it might have to wait a bit.
  4. It reads how many degrees you have turned the bolt. Say you set it to 100 degrees it will vibrate and usually they have leds that light up once you hit the target.
  5. The reviews turned me away from this torque wrench when I was looking for one a few years ago and I wound up getting the torque wrench that is one step above this one. I will probably get one that can do angles for torque to yield bolts sometime soon though. They are explensive though, around $300 and up.
  6. Can you post some pictures of what the top section looks like. Are there holes for pry bars and such? What are the dimensions for the drawers.
  7. We don't have a Menards yet but one will be open in the fall though. They said it will be 167,000 square feet. I got on at a local dealer so I might get one fairly soon. I am leaning towards the Napa one since the nearest harbor freight is over an hour away.
  8. I think the makita makes around 40 or 50 ft lbs more but to me it looks a lot bigger. I have the Milwaukee and i haven't found its limit yet. I think that they will all work fine though.
  9. I call it crap in a can. It is full of stuff your AC system might not need. It is full of oil and seal sweller too. I would not reccomend using it.
  10. You are going to love it Mike. Do you have any 3/8 impact sockets? This thing should have enough power to split chrome sockets.
  11. I want to say it is a 66 or 67 charger and a good looking one at that.
  12. No you can't get the press. The snap on student program isn't as good as Matco. nearly everything is discounted with them. With snap on stuff such as the flank drive plus wrenches aren't available along with a lot of specialty tools.
  13. Congratulations Chris! Better late than never.
  14. The other day I took apart my new snap on 3/8 long flex head ratchet and a similar Pittsburgh pro ratchet and while I was at it I figured I would take some pictures comparing the two. Neither of these ratchets have been used a bunch as I bought the snap on ratchet a little over a month ago and the HF ratchet is more of a beater ratchet. The snap on ratchet has an 80 tooth mechanism with 7 teeth engaging in either direction and the Pittsburgh has a 72 tooth mechanism with 5 teeth engaging in either direction. The chrome is better on the snap on and it seems to be less likely to scratch too. The Pittsburgh is a little bit longer and it has a standard round grip where the snap on is shaped to fit your hand better. By the way I did not pay full price for the snap on ratchet, I used my student discount and got it for half price. There is no way I would pay $145 for this ratchet. Here are some pictures comparing the two. Snap on HF
  15. At the time it was my only longer ratchet and like you said it always wanted to twist. I've gotten by without it fine so far.
  16. It will. I have the 3/8 right angle impact and it will work with no problem.
  17. I had an s-k ratchet similar to that and I hated using it. I traded it to my dad for a regular flex head ratchet that I used far more.
  18. The only decent thing I saw at any pawn shop was a lightly used fluke 87 for $150. If I remember right they are almost $400 new.
  19. By the time you buy two or three It cost as much as a whole set. My dad bought a 1 5/16 gear wrench for a harmonic balancer puller and I bet it cost more than the puller, it sure speeds it up a ton though
  20. It usually doesn't stop us but the $2200 price tag will stop me this time.
  21. Your welcome man! If you want me to spend more of your money let me know.
  22. If you need anymore help deciding if you need it or not you could read my review of the 3/8 impact. It is one of my most used and favorite tools.
  23. Boy, I didn't expect you to buy one. Where did you get it?
  24. Do you buy them in store or online? I've never seen any Wera screwdrivers at my Sears.
