  1. Once you have everything open and supported take an scratch awl or anything with a point and check everything. those little bastards will eat the center out and leave the outside looking like nothing is wrong
  2. Do you have much of a load above?
  3. This is what I keep in my tool belt at all times
  4. Is this a stand alone garage or is it attached to your house?
  5. Ok here is my stack or stacks. I only had 8' ceiling on my job and I had one box that would not fit so I broke it down to 2 plus I have my Festool stack I will add later.
  6. Now that is hilarious! I have the same one that NER has and it too never gets used. I think I may have to give this a try.

    10 " Table Saw

I have the DeWalt DW 744 XRS TIA did a review of this saw but I could not find their video but here is one by enduringcharm
  8. What everyone is saying is true. I have used just about anything you could use for a straight edge. But for me the track saw is the way to go. You can not beat the dust extraction. It lets you lets set up in the customer's house and not run outside to make your cuts. It also makes clean up a snap.
  9. That is the main reason I install this in when I do laundry rooms, auto cut off
  10. That's when you look and say "not my job man"
  11. When I first went to work for the Utility we would use a rock wheel to do road cuts Dust and everything would fly when I left 35 years later you had to wear a supplied air mask when operating and a full face mask when working around it. Here is what a rock wheel is and this is low dust there where times you could not see you hand held in front of your face.
  12. Do you even have either one of those places in Denmark.
  13. Maybe dumb thing to do but we live and learn. You should never cut fiber cement board in side and always wear a mask. Silica dust is as bad or worse than asbestos it can harden in your lungs. Google Crystalline silica one time.

    Planex

After today I'm going to bite the bullet. I'm going to start putting money aside for it. I'm doing a attic master suite. Bedroom, bath, office and my drywall guy called last night him and his son are sick and can not make today and the painter is coming Monday so, I was sanding all day. I don't care how well you seal things up that dust gets everywhere. Thanks for the info NER. also Festool will be putting out some info on this years Connect soon.
  15. Law suit could be in my future.
  16. Look who just got back from dance class

I know a couple of guys that have the Porter Cable and they really have nothing good to say about it.

Yes that is true but then I would have to watch them all day so they are not roaming around the customers house and ripping them off. Also the less dust in the air the better.

I know thats why I'm asking is it all that they say, and should I get the CT 36 AC? $1,800 is a big chunk of cash to drop on a sanding system.

As much as I hate to finish drywall I find myself doing more and more of it. Has anybody had any experience using the Planex.
