  1. I'm sure lawyers had something to do with it. Probably one of the sponsors spoke up and said they're not providing tools until your forum is more uniform.
  2. Where in H-Town? I'm in The Woodlands.
  3. It should. I have to layout the small SAE set still. But it appears that I somehow lost a larger TAP. I'm freaking out over here. Searching though drawers, boxes. Etc.
  4. Very nice work. The pro press is the way to go. But you have to do A LOT of plumbing. The tools is crazy expensive and the fittings are up there as well. We just bought two 2" ball valves for a commercial project and they were $450 EACH. Is that a new generation water heater that meets the new EPA requirements?
  5. Doing a little late night layout for my tap and die sets in Kaizon foam.
  6. I have drilled HUNDREDS, if not thousands of holes on concrete. A hammer/combination drill will kill you. I highly recommend a rotary hammer for sure. Especially if you're going to be drilling holes closer to the 3/8"-1/2" or larger that I anticipate you'll be drilling for sill plate. If you don't foresee doing any work where you'll need a battery ie, no power within 50-75 feet, a corded rotary would be your best friend.
  7. Kobalt saw from lowes <$200. Good quality. Small and easy to use. Unmatched warranty.
  8. Stopped by a promo at Home Depot this morning. It's pretty crazy when you name off a few tools that they have never heard about. I asked her if she could get me a BlueTooth battery and she said they have BlueTooth adapters. I asked "for the radio." Of course that's what she was referring to. I had to educate her on the BlueTooth battery.
  9. They may be trying to appease smart phone and tablet users. You know how hard it is to answer a touch screen phone with certain gloves on?
  10. Acme Tools is doing the Free Battery as well. http://www.acmetools.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/shop/SearchDisplay?sType=SimpleSearch&mpe_id=30506&searchTerm=DW462015&catalogId=10551&errorViewName=ProductDisplayErrorView&evtype=CpgnClick&showResultsPage=true&intv_id=91703&searchSource=Q&beginIndex=0&resultCatEntryType=2&langId=-1&searchType=1002&pageSize=24&storeId=10751&ddkey=http:ClickInfo
  11. We were shunned in with the rest of the "TOOLS." lmao

  13. I have them as well. Right off the shelf, they're great for doing field work like mortising door jambs. With a little work on a good stone set, they're even better for shop work.
  14. That's awesome.... I have it's older brother and it's a battery hog!! I had a couple jobs that I was drilling 1" holes in high strength concrete and used 10+ batteries in a day. I'm sure the run time on this bad boy is incredible.
  15. Yes. Here's a screen shot from a TIA video. That's definitely him in the DeWalt TV video. WAYYYYY in the back.
  16. I'm pretty sure it is. That bright neon shirt is a dead giveaway.
  17. Dan is in the background. Lol. http://youtu.be/Tibs-GurPHg
  18. I prefer Type A or ProPex with expansion fittings. It's easy to work with, if you accidentally crimp the PEX, you can smooth out the crimp with a heat gun. It's the best in my book. If you have a fire and the PEX melts, so what? Extra water on your fire.
  19. Thanks! I've been loading up my Pinterest with ideas like this. I'm just trying to get all my gear sorted out so I don't have to modify anything once I do it.
  20. They are real sensitive to precise cuts. And you should always de-burr your pipe before inserting. I worry about the O-rings. City water is horrible with all the chlorine and other chemicals.
  21. In a pinch, or a repair, I'd use a shark bite connector, but I would never do a major project with them. I prefer Type A PEX with the expansion sleeves or even the crimp style over a Shark Bite.
  22. They are just parts bins. You can find them online at ULINE or Harbor Freight.
  23. It's really hard to tell. That looks like it will be close. Where did you find that?
  24. jeeze! You sure know how to get us!
