  1. I go through a lot of bits and tried pretty much everything the box stores have to offer, I haven't settled on any particular brand(Zephyr if I could afford them, find em local or wait for an order lol), but I'm really liking the new(er)Bosch Impact bits... Lotta guys like the Makita Gold..... meh their fine if you like bits that are just OK. Drill bits on the other hand I could care less, I hardly use my drill(s), so I just get whatever is cheap at the closest store when I do need some, I probably have Ryobi or Vermont American or a mix of randomness, for concret I just use whatever is included in the Tapcon package.
  2. Saw a comment saying it was 79 db, this is not confirmed.

But to the tool... I get you'll prolly get a day's run time on even a black pack but why not XR? The real answer is it doesn't need to be... no need for brushless......but..... brushless= tiny computer+ Tool Connect...... ehh ehh get where I'm going....

I AM NOT, REPEAT, I AM NOT A PLUMBER!!!! but damn I need pex tools and this could be my gateway drug! By the way I hate PLUMBING........ 9 trips to the store for EVERY FUCKING pipe I work on! Pex tools might save my life.
  5. Yep, the only possible way to make it would be dual 20v and any hope some might have had for 2x 20's went out the window with FV. Personally a left blade FV saw would be a very welcome addition to my tools.
  6. Hell I'd just like to see a 10" like the rest of the world gets

Found this on garage journal Apparently a slight bit of cutting but does fit, however it doesn't charge....... Probably due to lacking... This grove needs to be removed for fitment. More info: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=6596943
  8. Agreed, Hitachi miters are fantastic. As for the money, heck even for 2x the cost your hard pressed to find one better.
  9. Spent yesterday organizing and adding shelfs and storage to the tool trailer, it's got alot more to be done but much more useful now.
  10. Not gunna lie I've pondered doing this with some random cells I have into a black top Dewalt battery... Only thing that's stopped me is the randomness of the cells... Though I have considered grabbing a pile of Kobalts to do this too.
  11. I too was a DeWalt hold out, til I said screw it and started buying Ryobi stuff to fill in the gaps.... Fan check, work light check, brad nailer check..... And so on... Don't get me wrong I love my yellow tools and will continue to buy them but hey if Ryobi has what I need why not.

Looking at another pic it clearly says Jacobs on the chuck....

So it looks like Harbor Freight has launched some DeWalt clones, https://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?dir=asc&order=EAScore%2Cf%2CEAFeatured+Weight%2Cf%2CSale+Rank%2Cf&q=Hercules There are some minor differences from the originals, mostly cosmetic but the drills seem to have metal chucks and the impact has a single LED. I'm very curious if the batteries are actually cross compatible, from the images they look spot on.

    Family work

So this has been an ongoing thing.... Drive 2 1/2 hours spend a weekend working at my brother's, on and off for what, about 2 months? Well by damn if this better be the last trip!
  15. The absolute worst tools are the ones you don't have when you need em regardless of the COA or the notion of quality. In this case it sounds like a great tool for the job!
  16. Put my hands on one in store today, not too shabby but not needed enough for me to part with my $.... Maybe if it had batteries....or a stand included......
  17. That sucks.... They are all over around me(SW MI), also metal roofs get a home owners insurance break here too.
  18. I love mine, I have used MANY different ones including Bosch, yep still love my DeWalt. I am a person that makes money using my tools so i guess that makes me a professional and its a professional tool. Vibration? not any worse than others, use a larger battery, smooths it out noticeably. No power? Make sure you have a charged battery on it, that solves the no power problem. Toy? I suppose it sorta looks like a armless action figure when its standing upright. Blade selection sucks? Um I haven't found a blade I couldn't put on it(there is an adaptor and admittedly I've never tried to use a starlock on it)
  19. Ok maybe I'm naive or a snob but to me the flat out best ratcheting screwdriver is the Snap On, 20 years ago I used one and spent 10 years finding one to live up to it only to decide to get my own. I've never tried a Wera but I'm very curious if it's similar or better. If nothing else... That's a damn good looking driver!
  20. I take pics and occasionally a few notes of the projects I do but that's for my personal "memoirs", my brother in law on the other hand does keep detailed files, but he runs the business, works with banks, insurance, home owners, so he spends at least 1 day a week on files/paperwork and sends out updates.
  21. Oh, and some how this little guy found his way on to the pick I was working off...
