  1. oh wow this sounds nice. 50' precision seems like quite an impressive claim.
  2. it is also used in conjunction with dust collection and also is much better with preventing tearout. Some guys have the luxury of a sliding table saw or panel saw but the average guy may not fork out the money for one. When all you got at most is a cabinet grade table saw you may see the benefits of the track saw as being a more convenient and safer option when cutting large panels. I enjoy building furniture. You would think cords don't matter in a shop setting but I see benefits of cordless in a shop setting. No cord is nice because less cords equals less to trip over, get snagged on corners, and etc.
  3. I've never broken a flextorq bit or even worn one to being unusable. The Makita look very similar to flextorq bits. They should last awhile at least.
  4. The one I got was the 530 cfm unit with turbo button. Where did you see it on sale? I have used a handful of blowers all gas. One was even a backpack blower. I would say the Ego may even outdo some of them in power. The Ego is my first handheld blower with a rear intake and the feel is different than a side intake blower. All the hardcore gas ope users may change their mind if they use this blower. It is able to blow air at least 30 or so feet with decent power. I did a not so scientific test inside the house haha. In a better test I could blow off the driveway (2 car) after mowing in very little time. I would estimate less than a minute.
  5. it has gps? That would be nice if it did then you would have a better range than one key and tick stuff.
  6. I was roaming DeWALT's website and found that there are listings for the tool connect stuff now. I found out the bluetooth adapter to convert non bluetooth tools is non removable once installed. It appears DeWALT has ditched the current switch like on the dcd996 and is going with a button switch like on Makita impacts and onekey stuff. Appears to have 4 modes on the drill. 1, 2, 3, and one that looks like a house. I'm surprised DeWALT didn't include tool connect batteries with tool connect tools. I was unable to find the tc impact driver or the non compact tc drill driver.
  7. I'd like to see what other kits this comes in. I wouldn't mind getting a 2 battery kit with one 59 in and one 102 in track. The HD kit list it comes with a rail. Im guessing its the 59 in track.
  8. you will notice 2 cords right? not sure how to justify a cordless compressor. Attempted to cut the cord but kinda hard to make the air hose cordless.
  9. I recommend getting the ego blower. The power claims are no joke. It might even be better than some gas models.
  10. probably like milwaukee shockwave gen 1 vs gen 2
  11. I think Festool has an autoclean vac but it isn't hepa.
  12. idk how large my yard is but it takes me a good 90 mins from when I start mowing to when I finish using a push mower. I think the blade is 22 in.
  13. It is free if all you want to do is look at and measure drawings. I watched some more videos about it and it seemed alright. I like the angle input for a line better on mobile than I do on the desktop. it looked like it really shined when an Apple Pencil was used. Drawing and selection seemed easy with it and the markup feature seemed nice.
  14. could something like this work? I've demoed a fireplace with one and it did a good job. http://www.eastwood.com/air-hammer-with-chisel-set.html
  15. not to say Deere mowers are bad but I've been told they are aren't great back in my professional mowing days. I also owned one that wasn't great. That one you recommended looks like a nice machine. I've never tried a big guy though. I'm a Toro/Ex-Mark guy now. Scags aren't bad either.
  16. Well AutoDesk has released a new app called AutoCAD Mobile. It is basically the desktop version of AutoCAD built for mobile. What interested me was two things. First for only $50 a year, which is an amazing price when compared to other AutoDesk software, you get a copy of AutoCAD. Second with the $50 subscription you are able to not only view drawings but make and edit drawings as well. I don't know what features are not present in this version or the limitations but it might be an option if a small shop, crew, or DIYer wants to draw up a house plan or make furniture plans or whatever it may be. The free version of Sketchup may be sufficient for some but for those who want a little more and are willing to pay a little money to get a good drawing software I think this may have potential. A one year subscription for the desktop version is over $1400 vs $50 for the mobile version. Typically drafting software may offer a mobile viewer app to view drawings from the desktop version of the software but this may be the first I have seen that allows editing and creating of drawings. What do you guys think? Is it a good and cheap paid replacement for the free Sketchup? Would you ever try it out? Is the fact it is mobile something that turns you away from it? Supports Windows, Android, iOS. An iPad Pro specific version is available that supports Apple Pencil. https://www.autodesk.com/products/autocad-mobile/overview
  17. would limiting the posts to the 500 post thread work? The average person isn't able to view that thread. Target or whoever would have to join here post 500 messages just to even view those pictures.
  18. The new toro push mowers have a special connection for a water hose. Connect water to it, turn the mower on, and watch it clean out the grass. Except the mower requires gas and oil.

    ImpactX

I don't think I have ever used the gold bits. They seem similar to the old style shockwave bits. The black metal with teal torsion zone looks nice on the new bits.

    ImpactX

Makita is coming out with a new impact bit line. basically their version of Shockwave or FlexTorq
  21. are those the new brushless models? they look really nice

    New Kits

Yesterday when I was at the localish Home Depot buying some EGO I found they had the two new tough system drill kits in stock. For someone who is looking for their first drill set they are a good deal. $299 for the DCKTS291D1M1 kit and $199 for the DCKTS280C2 kit. I hope more kits come with tough system. Just need to convert the bag manufacturing to ts manufacturing
