  1. I haven't used Ryobi or EGO trimmers but from experience with the EGO blower I would say the EGO trimmer is powerful as well. My brother has the Ryobi lawn mower and trimmer and for the price I think he likes it.
  2. Anyone heard of an official release date on the Flexvolt Tracksaw? I heard maybe a week or 2 ago it was two weeks out. Which would put it this week or next week. I noticed that Murray from Krueger construction has gotten the tracksaw. I don't know if it was sent early as a review unit or if it is in stores. It may be out in Canada but according to Home Depot it has 3 listings: DCS520B, DCS520T1, and DCS520ST1. All are listed as "out of stock online" and "not avalable in stores". Someone said on Murray's post that they have the saw and another person said that September is the release date.
  3. If you could pick one favorite and ONLY one favorite new product/new product line at NPS17 what would it be and why? Please only choose one. I would have to choose the m12 stapler. I like how small it is, the price is reasonable, and the fact you don't have to deal with air hoses is nice.

    Dewalt DWE7491

maybe the track got out of line or a gear jumped a tooth?
  5. worldwide but not as common in north america
  6. the stapler and modular storage were best announcements in my opinion. Most of the other stuff just seemed like upgrades.
  7. supposedly September I like how there are half width boxes. Would be cool to see a half width box that fits all your 1/4 drivers/bits Anyone else notice the seemingly lack of 9.0 hd stuff? Most of the stuff I watched used 5.0s. It didn't seem like there were any battery advancements or HD tool advancements. I'm surprised and yet not surprised at the same time. You would think they would want to redo their take on HD tools and provide a glimpse of something at NPS17 considering Flexvolt and X2 are in a league of their own. You could also look at it they realized their take on HD tools was not as good as Flexvolt and X2 and showing something off at NPS17 would be rushing the replacement and may not be as good as if they took their time to get it right. That stapler though. I really could've used it today. It was insulation day today. It sure looked compact bout as small as an air stapler I use. I'm curious what the other guys will provide for staplers. Kinda hard to make something that compact with a slide pack. Anyone see an m18x2 miter? Seemed a bit surprising that one wasn't announced considering a couple guys at work supposedly tried one. Maybe it wasn't ready and may be at an event later this year or NPS 2018?
  8. but it did include a refresh.
  9. These the same ones in the flex 3.0/9.0, LiHD, and Core?
  10. sounds great but I would guess they won't be cheap.
  11. Id say make the system like Tanos has done with the Systainer. Allow companies to sell their products in Systainers. Festool is probably the most well know company that uses them. I wouldn't mind having a modular box standard or at least compatibility with tough system.
  12. sure id like a yearly DeWALT event like Milwaukee and now Makita but a Stanley Black and Decker event wouldnt be half bad either. Just have SB&D bring all its companies together to show off new products.
  13. the first post of this topic sounds like it has been posted before but idk.

    The new DCS570

would be cool to convert the base of the North American version flex circ saw to a track compatible base.
  15. Holdzall (or Carryzall?) the new rival to Tough System and Ridgid pro boxes @SetBuilder if you want a good cordless miter it would be hard to go wrong with the 790 and if you decide you don't like the cordless aspect you can always use the cord adapter.

    The new DCS570

I just watched a video on the new brushless 20v circular saw. Possibly the most powerful circular saw in an 18/20max platform? Protoolreviews says so. If I feel the need to get a circular saw in addition to my planned flexvolt track saw purchase I may consider this over the flexvolt even. I like blade right saws. As a left hander it is easier for me to use a blade right saw. I used the brushed 20v max circular saw a guy at work has and it had plenty of power especially when I plugged a flexvolt battery in it. Flexvolt would be overkill for my needs.
  17. I found out he is the one who said his adjustable shoes on his reciprocating saw kept breaking. Many are saying a sander and cordless table saw are coming. I wouldn't be surprised if a cordless router and tracksaw show up. Someone claimed they saw a picture of an m12 surge and a new storage system. Milwaukee posted some pictures of nps setup on instagram and supposedly they were seen on the last picture.
  18. a larger fab shop may see a need for one but the average guy won't.
  19. @ChrisK did you have troubles finding it as well? I do like the Festool website though. It seems organized well. Each model is listed then all the kits for said model is listed underneath it. Would be nice if other sites used this system.
  20. what if the Makita compatible battery was more expensive than a genuine Makita battery?
  21. should be out soon. According to DeWALT's website it and the track saw are still listed as "coming soon".
  22. I was browsing the Festool website and noticed the OF 1400 router no longer showed up on the products page. You guys think it was removed to prepare for a replacement? Searching for the router didn't even bring up any results for it. I was able to go into the OF 1010 product page and find a link at the bottom to the OF 1400 page. Thats quite a work around to find the page for it. Could be a bug in the system I guess.
  23. well there are 2 tabs on the battery that get pushed to switch the voltage I think
  24. they aren't far away. If anything its in the prototype stage.
