  1. What can the crew do to help?
  2. @Bigmikez it is also on acme tool but the listing is for the dcd777 but the image is of the dcd771
  3. Maybe instead of banning employees from posting photos online the employees can send photos for review then those photos can be uploaded to the shop's website. Makes the employees less liable.
  4. Kinda depends on who it is. The cook in the fam may justify that $500 pot/pan set and not a $500 tool but the tool user in the fam may justify that $500 tool but not the $500 pot/pan set. @comp56 I would consider pots and pans to be a tool and disallowing someone to buy a tool should be against the TIA rules. I would be happy your wife is wanting to buy tools.
  5. I've actually never owned a Honda mower. I heard they are great options. I currently own a Toro. I think EGO may offer the only self propelled battery option out right now. Eric and Dan did a battery mower comparison last year and the EGO was their winner. It was also one of the only mowers with a metal body. I've never used one but I'm sure they are great.
  6. $99 brushless drill DCD777C2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J7UPHIS/?tag=toolguyd-20
  7. Well I am officially an owner of some EGO. I purchased a blower and hedge trimmer from Home Depot. I thought the batteries would be bigger but they are only a 2.0 and a 2.5 so not too big. This is the first blower I have owned. The 24in hedge trimmer is a nice upgrade to the old corded b&d 13in I currently have.
  8. @DPSElias Is it Sears in general that's going out of business, just the clothing store, or the power equipment/appliance stores as well?
  9. @ChrisK maybe its time to upgrade to a Martin or Felder?
  10. There's a supermarket with one in the town I go to school at.
  11. How bright is that light? I'm not a fan of Ryobi but that garage opener has some pretty cool features. I haven't seen them on other openers.
  12. Looks great. A job fit for a wide belt
  13. I might try the 22 in ego normal trimmer. My current trimmer is an old corded b&d.

    New Kits

Just noticed some new combo kits. These 2 aren't quite out yet. One is the entry level compact brushed drill and impact, two 1.5 batteries and a ds130 case. Another is a dcf887, dcd996, 2.0 battery, 5.0 battery, and ds130 https://shoptoolreviews.com/news/home-depot-tools-media-event/29412/attachment/home-depot-prospective-2017-event_34/#main I like the mixed battery kits. You get a compact for tight spaces and general use. You got your big for more runtime and power. The ds300 is a nice bonus. Another combo kit I seen on acme. it includes a dcf887, dcd996, dcl040, dcs367, two 5.0 batteries, charger, and bag http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/dewalt-dck494p2 I think DeWALT is finally starting fazing out the brushed 4+ tool combo kits with brushless tools. It's too bad the new kits come with a bag and not a ds300 or ds400.
  15. I hope the track saw will be included in this deal if it gets released by then. I don't need either of the free things but I could at least sell them.
  16. why not buy the trimmer then sell the trimmer but keep the free hedge trimmer? I'm sure someone here could use a string trimmer.
  17. maybe split up the handtools section into 2 subsections similar to how the tools by manufacturer is setup?
  18. I heard about adjustable shoes breaking.
  19. I could see them having less holding power @kornomaniac

    Work light

Could I say DeWALT's selection of lights is similar to Ridgid? How do Bosch and Makita compare to DeWALT? Makita has about as many flashlights as impacts.
  21. not all on paper measurements are apples to apples. Each company has their own way to get their numbers.
  22. hmm maybe the battery is defective? My two 2.0 batteries haven't given me problems but they get medium light use in my drill and impact. I really like the 2.0 batteries. They are my favorite battery DeWALT offers. A 2.0 in my drill or impact lasts me quite awhile with light use. I used some 2.0's in a 20v circ saw last summer and the runtime was terrible. A saw is a higher demand tool than a drill and impact. I would guess the adapters are limited to 2.0 batteries and smaller because they are 5 cells vs 10 and 15 on the other DeWALT batteries.
