  1. I wore a mask from work, Wasn't very comfortable after prolonged use. It was probably a 3m mask but anyways I still have discomfort on my nose after wearing it and it has been almost a week. I wish work had these. They look more comfortable.
  2. If you want nimble might as well go with an awd hatch. Just need to add a beefy grill, engine upgrades, some lights, a siren, and a fancy police car paint job.
  3. @rfwjr Doesn't appear to have an on/off trigger? I have never used a barrel grip jigsaw before. Nice find though. Bosch makes a good jigsaw
  4. I wouldn't press the wheel locking button unless trigger is in the off position. I also wouldn't press the button when the wheel is at full speed either. I wouldn't think at the speed the wheel was going in the video much would happen to the wheel lock button. I'm not grinder expert so I wouldn't take my word for it. I have only used a grinder a handful of times.
  5. more like allergic to dust.
  6. I cut 80 year old cast iron pipe the other day with my flexvolt recip and torch blades.
  7. will the saw be 6 1/2 in or 7 1/4 in?
  8. new 10 gallon vac design that is shaped better for tough system would be great.
  9. Systainers seem nice. Many more options to choose from than Tough system and Ridgid. Many are very purpose built though. I doubt anyone would toss around a systainer like they would with Ridgid and DeWALT offerings. I noticed Makita has some boxes that supposedly are compatible with systainers. I found out systainers are not a Festool product but a Tanos product. Tanos makes systainers for other companies including Fein and Metabo.
  10. @rdst_1 How many pieces would you get using the thin kerf vs the thick kerf?
  11. Dewalt is making a 60v adapter. I would have thought it would have been a smarter move to release it at flexvolt wave 1 launch but DeWALT wasn't rushing it. A 60v cordless to 120v corded adapter is a bit more tricky to make than a 120v cordless to 120v corded adapter. For me at least I don't need the rafter hook, 4 position chuck, and adjustable shoe. 4 position chuck and rafter hook would be nicer on a compact recip.
  12. the Torch is Milwaukee's Metal blade. I wanna say the demo specific metal blade but I could be wrong. There's the Ax, Ax with carbide, Wrecker, and Torch. The blades if used correctly last a long time. I used 2 blades but I don't think the first blade was even fully used. The teeth still looked like they had a lot of life left. I estimated I did 20 cuts. Once all the pipe is out we may have to tackle the boiler.
  13. One comparison I could see for saw testing is the Milwaukee saws use Milwaukee blades, Flexvolt saws use Flexvolt blades, Makita saws use Makita blades and so on. I would view it as more of a fair comparison than if Flexvolt saws use Flexvolt blades than everyone else uses Diablo blades.
  14. I want more box options. @Bmill25 the cart seems very versatile. It's not shown in the picture @muddychip posted but DeWALT also shows you can use the cart for hauling other things than boxes like bags of concrete mix.
  15. @Framer joe I like it. I spent most of Friday cutting 80 year old cast iron pipe with it. I used a Milwaukee torch blade. It worked great. No sparks and no blade melting. I would say I averaged 10 minutes per cut. I used around two 2.0/6.0 batteries plus partial of another. It is a heavy tool but in return you get a well built tool. Even the shoe is built well.
  16. looks like a penguin. was first thing that came to mind when I saw them but cant think of the animal it looks like.
  17. Dewalt has a new vac, possibly multiple vacs in the works. I could guess one is a flexvolt vac. A vac is eventually going to have tool connect, bluetooth, or nfc to talk to cordless tools to make the vac tool actuated with cordless tools. Not sure if same vac or different vac. 60v adapter is in the works as well. Little things here and there I don't like about flexvolt. The circ saw doesnt have magnesium base, dust port, or track base. Some could say a rafter hook on the recip and circ saws is needed. Recip is a bit heavy and vibrates a lot, but all recips vibrate.
  18. It seems fine on the miter saw. If i push the battery like I'm pushing it onto the recip then I push the button it is noticably easier to push the button. I think the 2 tabs that get pushed in have something to do with it because they have fairly strong springs putting resistance on the battery release button. Hopefully the battery button issue is nothing to be worried about. The recip has no other issues except the chuck area tends to get dirty but that is expected cause its a recip saw.
  19. I have only really heard of Milwaukee stuff going bad with dust particularly drywall dust. The 887 I have works fine around dust. I woud go with Makita. Makita is the impact king.
  20. Seen this today when checking Makita's website. an x2 robotic vac. https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/DRC200PT
  21. Shockwave seem like good bits and are impact rated. I have some Flextorq bits, I think they are called impact ready now but they are good bits. The set I got comes with a wide range of bit types from phillips to square to torx. It also came with an adapter for sockets. That Makita set looks pretty good. just about everything you would need.
  22. looks great. you doing a full cleated wall? or just certain things?
