  1. Any new stuff you guys have seen at STAFDA 2018? I am pretty sure I saw a new high torque impact wrench by DeWALT. Might even be flexvolt powered but it looked to have a side handle and a 7/8 hex chuck. Makita has their new 14 inch x2 metal saw and a whole new pneumatic line at the show. The DeWALT Flexvolt stud and joist drill has gotten an update and looks a lot more like the Makita x2 version.
  2. The shipping cap is installed onto the batteries in unopened boxes. You should be fine transporting them that way. The cap is more for air travel anyways.

The new/upcoming Bosch charger is a 16 amp charger. Highest amp charger I have seen. My DeWALT chargers do the job. Dual charger to top off the Flexvolt batteries is good enough. Always on the shelf in the garage ready to charge them after work.
  4. @Babysaw They got the adapter for their stuff and said they tried it on our nailer at work. Claimed it didn't work. I would guess with modification the adapter might work.
  5. Does anyone know if Honda will be updating their commercial engine for their push mowers? I was almost for sure I seen somewhere that someone talked about Honda updating the engines with a slightly more powerful engine. I can't for the life of me remember where I saw/heard this info. I have been offered around 20 lawns to mow and will want to invest in a good commercial push mower (the rider is taken care of hopefully). I was looking at my options. I have used Toro commercial push mowers and they come in 3 engine options. a Toro, a Kawasaki, and a Honda. The Kawasaki has more power than the Honda but from what I have heard the Honda is over engineered to last and be reliable. I might venture away from Toro and get the Honda. Either way both brands use the same Honda gxv160 engine. I thought I heard the new engine was going to be a gxv200 but I can't find any info on a 200 model. I found a gx 200 model but that is not the same engine far as I know and it is not available on push mowers.
  6. So sounds like the new back pack x4 setup is actually 2 x2 setups in one backpack. connects to an x2 tool but only draws from 2 batteries at one time. Also an x2 abrasive cutoff saw is coming and is a full 14 inches. It is also 3800 rpm. I think it could be handy but I am guessing it is quite the power hog if it is a 14 inch wheel.
  7. The guys at work said the adapter does not work with the nailers.

I have noticed my toughsystem trap heat inside the box. I open the box on a hot day and feel the inside of the box is noticeably warmer than the outside. I try to keep them out of the sun but sometimes it is either not practical or not possible to keep them out of the sun.
  9. This sander has an excellent brake. Toolpig showed off the brake on this sander. The brake is on the same level of the brakes on Festool ETS EC corded brushless sanders.
  10. Amazon is the best price for the high rack. Did you check to make sure the high rack will fit or will you need to go with the low rack? I think Tough System boxes are a good idea for a trailer. The van rack paired with the ds carrier cart would seem like a very good idea to me. Probably one of the better options for organization in a trailer. Would the cart be small enough to hang on the side door? I don't feel as though loose small tools or blow mold cases are very good for organization in a trailer my opinion. I would also utilize the space on the ceiling for storing longer items like track saw guide rails. I like adjustable storage because as your tool/storage needs change you can easily change the storage.
  11. that is a pretty good set of rules.
  12. The biggest thing in my book for a table saw is safety. If you don't get safety right then someone could get seriously hurt. Push blocks aren't a save all but they can protect your hand from the blade by keeping it further away from the blade. Another thing I do is rest my pinky finger on top of the fence so my hand wont gravitate towards the blade. I would say if the fence is 2-3 inches or less from the blade, the cut should require a push block/stick. One thing that wouldn't hurt is require anyone needing to use the saw to go through safety training before being allowed to use the saw. For the material restrictions, maybe you could say please only cut wood. Make sure it is free of metal or any other foreign objects. If you need to cut something else please ask _____ for assistance/approval. I listed my suggestions/ideas below in a more rule like format I guess. I hope this helps. Do not operate power equipment without going through safety training. Only cut wood with this saw. If you need to cut something else please ask _____ for assistance/approval. Make sure the material is free of metal or any other foreign objects unless approved by ____. A push block or push stick is recommended when using this saw. Any cut where the blade is 3 inches or closer to the fence a push block/stick is required. Never operate the saw without the riving knife installed. Leave the saw in better condition then when you found it.
  13. Sounds like the corded adapter is a free option for bare tools.
  14. Metabo HTP is coming out with a Multivolt 10 inch table saw. Normal Metabo has a 10 in but it isn't sold over here yet.

    AWS Tools

I like the idea of bluetooth tools but wheres the cross brand support?
  16. I have heard rumors that Best Buy and JCPenny aren't looking too good either not near as bad as Sears/Kmart though. I wouldn't be surprised if Walmart kills off Target too. Walmart is basically becoming a monopoly of sorts. Killing off the stores who can't compete. Successful stores are getting less and less with behemoths like Walmart and Amazon around.
  17. wait a sec I see a deal for a coin cell battery. does this mean the impact is a connected impact?

    AWS Tools

The new x2 brushless blade right saw is getting an AWS version.
  19. maybe already had the guide rails?
  20. Does it perform as well as the corded? (not including runtime)
  21. congrats on the new tool.
  22. I saw a post about the new Versa Stack. It is Craftsman's Tstak clone. I noticed that the latches have been updated. They have a similar update to what Tough System is getting. The pins are now metal instead of plastic. I think this improvement is a step in the right direction.
  23. I wonder how far away the new ts/tsc saws will be unveiled.
  24. cordless (specifically battery power) all the things.
  25. Rumor has it the next version of the TSC 55 will fit the HKC 55 guide rails. Also 36v Kapex might be in the works.
