  1. The update model I am guessing was the brushless x2 blade right saw. I terms of the "worlds first" saw, so far we know it is a wood saw and cordless. Anything else?
  2. With the recent Metabo battery initiative I wouldn't be surprised. The Mafel track saws use the same batteries as Metabo now.
  3. Is Mafel going to have a cordless jigsaw? Might be worth the wait if they do. @ChrisK
  4. I wonder if it would be better to buy from CPO through Amazon? CPO sells many of their items through Amazon.
  5. that is a pretty good price for the flex.
  6. I had no idea DeWALT offered extended warranty.
  7. @Matty Alou if you are getting into woodworking I would buy a miter geared more for woodworking and not framing. When I think of woodworking, I think trim work, cabinets, furniture, flooring, etc. I don't associate woodworking with rough wood cutting like framing, sheathing, etc. even though it technically is woodworking. The DeWALT 12 inch sliders are tried and true if you want to go the DeWALT route. They are a good all around saw. One that might be worth looking into is Hitachi's C12RSH (discontinued) or the C12RSH2 (replacement). The original pioneered some features great for woodworking. It was a saw that grained credibility amongst woodworkers. The replacement is still a good saw.

    Flexvolt

@CityDecks he means you should have enough batteries to where a guy should be able to work all day without having to stop to wait for a battery to charge due to all batteries being depleted.
  9. Toolnut had a dcs577b deal for $179 usd. It sold out before I even knew about it.I would have bought it if it was still in stock.
  10. Spending time with some extended family for a few days.
  11. Anyone find and/or getting any black friday/cyber monday deals?
  12. @The.Handyman wow cool. Any power difference between the new 9's and the 12's?
  13. Festool Recon is doing a Black Friday thru Cyber Monday special. Instead of offering just one item at a time there is many items up for grabs. Includes various track saw and 15v drill kits, apparel, a few sanders, and a few other things. Some of it might be worth checking out if you want more Festool.
  14. @The.Handyman will/do kits sold before the new battery came out start shipping with the new battery?
  15. brushless is quieter. noise is one selling point for me.
  16. the 9's now use 21700 cells?
  17. so the DCS577 is more powerful according to watts
  18. Any dedicated paddle mixer will handle what you are needing to mix. Some good options for cordless are the flexvolt (not sure if released yet) and m18 mixers. Festool has a good corded option. There are other corded options but they haven't seen an update in ages.
  19. I don't own any levels yet but the level at work that gets used the most is probably an Empire. It is maybe around 6 foot. I try to grab our Stabila's when I get the chance because I trust their measurements more than any of our other levels but the other guys tend to favor the Empires. I wouldn't mind getting a Stabila but they can get pricey.
  20. wow those were amazing finds. Was it just your store?
  21. That is cool I guess. I wonder why they took this route. You would think you could just have the 2 dummy batteries separate all the time. Maybe it the ability to remove the dummy battery will serve a purpose that Makita hasn't unveiled yet?
  22. I wasn't just talking about their upcoming drill test but more their tests in general.
  23. what do you guys think of concord carpenter tests? @Framer joe @kornomaniac
