    TO THE CREW

    I haven't ever gotten them. haha I'm a rebel.
  2. @BK13 The 7.5 amp hr battery on the Ego averages 40 minutes per charge. I think these runtimes were in a video by @dwain
  3. I'm kinda disappointed on the kit selection. Gen 1 had better kits in my opinion. I feel most kits are heavy on Phillips #2 I'd like a few less Phillips #2 and more of the other guys.
  4. My mom used to make these but with white chocolate instead of dark.
  5. I don't think it is a regional thing. More personal preference, what a guy learned/grew up using, or whatever is available to use at the time. My work just about has them all. 7in blade left wormdrive corded, 7in blade right direct drive corded, 6in blade left direct drive cordless. The cordless is used the most. I worked for a guy for a summer when college was on summer break and all he used was worm drive.
  6. How bout blade middle and painted red for extra power. My earlier idea could be something like DCD575R for the blade right and DCD575L for the blade left version.
  7. I just wish there was 2 options for each saw. A blade right and a blade left then everyone would be happy. Blade right worm drive, blade right 6in direct drive, blade left 7in direct drive.
  8. I would consider both. I have saved quite a bit even if the item is priced higher because the shipping was so much lower.
  9. This may be Ryobi's best tool ever but.... I'll have to wait for the m12 or the DeWALT 20v
  10. @skill-builder.uk I heard awhile back that Milwaukee is working on some more woodworking focused tools like a table saw and a plunge saw. I would guess the R&D are still trying to work out the kinks with all the innovative features they will have with the plunge saw. I'm sure it has plenty. It wouldn't be Milwaukee without an innovative feature or two. They do have the saying "Disruptive Innovation" which has been true on many Milwaukee tools. Also welcome to the forum. I have been watching your videos for a little while now and they are great.
  11. @Biggie doesn't the OMT have the rubber too?
  12. @m.k heres where I saw them talked about. https://www.protoolreviews.com/news/solid-state-battery-technology/30038/ It won't be using lithium either. Sodium if I remember correctly.
  13. heres the link to find them. there are 4 new flex torq sets and for whatever reason 2 of them are the gen 1 and 2 are the gen 2. the 40 pc gen 2 set looks like a nice all around set. http://www.dewalt.com/en-us/products/accessories/fastening-and-screwdriving-bits
  14. @jtkendall might try Sherwin Williams Duration paint. I am using it on my current job and it seems to be the toughest paint I have ever used. I am painting some windows and one coat is enough to lock the windows shut. I'm thinking the primer I used was Sherwin Williams PrimeRX. It seemed to do a good job but it caught me off guard cause it dries clear. You planing on anything on the OSB? Maybe french cleats, shelving, etc.?

    Bosch in Australia

Is Bosch going to do this in Europe and North America?
  16. Just got an email that Flex Torq has be redesigned. I checked and sure enough it has. They have a bigger torsion zone now and new kits. What do you guys think? I think they look nicer than the Gen 1. The kits are nothing special. Maybe more kits will arrive in the future.
  17. I would like modular boxes to be standard in kits for North America. Universal batteries would be nice. I could have one battery that fits many different brands of tools.
  18. @builditguy Since you already have the blade left 20v you should go with the blade right flex.
  19. @m.k real fast charging will come. just not with Lithium ion. The next battery after lithium ion is supposed to have crazy charge times. something like 0% to 100% in 3 mins
  20. @Tulbus I can give you the dimensions of the DeWALT track but have you considered the Makita or Festool to be used with the DeWALT? Both are compatible. I have a set of DeWALT and a set of Festool. Your looking at 7-1/4 in wide and at the thickest point around 1/2 in for both the DeWALT and Festool. I hope this helps.
  21. The plunge saw is supposedly really good and could rival the Festool. I noticed Bosch has tools made from Asia now. Maybe it is an attempt to release more tools. Seems like Bosch has always been slow at tool releases. Seems like Bosch isn't as popular as other brands in north america. I don't see myself investing in much Bosch but hope they start releasing more good tools.
  22. @Wesley S. I may not be a fan of Ryobi but from what I have seen Ryobi is the best Homeowner/Diy brand. It does fall short when compared to its bigger brother Milwaukee and other pro brands but for the money you shouldn't be disappointed.
