  1. I would gladly switch plain shelves to drawers on my lower units. We use drawers on our pots and pans cabinet and it’s a god send.
  2. Yeah like I said, it appears SBD created the Stanley Fat Max line as an off shoot brand for overseas. First using Black and Decker, then Porter Cable, and then Craftsman V20. And you are correct. They really don’t talk about overseas exclusive brands here in the state. As I stated, I was unaware Stanley Fat Max was even a brand until you posted about this charger. And only a couple pictures pop up if you Google image V20 Power Tools in the US. Most casual users don’t even know Ridgid is AEG overseas.
  3. You’d be wrong. After some searching, Stanley Fat Max V20 and Craftsman V20 are in fact the same tools and batteries. The only difference is name and color. Just like Hikoki and Metabo HPT. You don’t need to understand Indonesian to see a Craftsman V20 running on a Fat Max V20 battery.
  4. I'm not talking about Porter cable any more. The Stanley V20 battery and the Craftsman V20 battery look identical. Just different colors.
  5. So the V20 batteries for both aren’t the same? That would negate getting that 240v charger then if it’s not the same form factor.
  6. Gotta say this blows my mind a little being on the Craftsman platform! I knew nothing about there being a Stanley Fat Max line of power tools. It looks like it began life as a B&D clone in 2012, then became a Porter cable clone, and is now a combination of clones from PC and DeWalt, the same as Craftsman is. This is basically the same thing as Metabo HPT and Hikoki. Both the same tools. One is just for the USA, while the other is for the rest of the world. SBD certainly can't have two lines of tools in Yellow and Black.
  7. I am avoiding surgery, unless the vertebrae slips more forward and starts impinging on the spinal chord.
  8. I have a back condition that is pretty bad. And the surgery to fix it is a 50/50 proposition as to whether I’ll get better or worse. The best thing I’ve gotten to help so far is my adjustable bed. Talk about a life saver for someone who can’t sleep flat at all.
  9. So it’s Stanley Fat Max outside the US and Craftsman in? Do they have Craftsman in the UK, AU, etc..?
  10. See if Oregon makes a similar sized chain.
  11. I currently run six 4ah batteries, one 2ah battery, and one 1.5ah battery on 4 chargers. My most power hungry tool is the brushless angle grinder which I can pretty much keep running continuously with five 4ah batteries. It cuts it close with full charges though. So I think if I added one more 4ah and charger, I should be good to go with continuously fully charged batteries.
  12. They aren't the only game in town. Graco reps the DeWalt battery....
  13. You sure? Nearly everything you post is either about CAS and the brands within, or if DeWalt has a cordless version of some tool. You definitely have a theme.
  14. For all you Ryobi fans..... DTO is now an authorized seller.... https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com/
  15. You must be besides yourself in yellow and black glory......lol.
  16. That's the one drawback to full acceptance. A huge initial cash outlay really sours some folks. If makers could just wrangle in those battery prices.....
  17. A cordless trim router I could see, but outside of the track saw, most folks other than wealthy fans and tool reviewers usually have another brand handle their cordless needs.
  18. I have a gasoline generator. I have fuel on hand. The Northeast is home to all kinds of weather. Most I ever went without electricity was during Sandy for about a week. That little generator powered the whole house quite well as long as we didn’t run a lot of things that have large start up draws. The wife usually keeps the pantry and fridge stocked. And where we live really isn’t prone wide scale shortages. Where I live is relatively safe, but I got plenty of fire power to protect the family as well. While not a proper prepper. I do keep current with outdoor survival skills. And my job keeps my EMT skills fresh. So depending on the SHTF situation, I’m good. About the only situation I don’t see coming out of are nuclear scenarios. I live way to close to NYC and military targets to think I’d be safe. Just gotta wait out these last few years until retirement and a move to a more wide open area in the country.
  19. I agree. He used a decent algorithm to compute these score and even factored in a “X Factor” score for folks to give their own input on the tests. I actually went through the list on a day off from work, and found a couple discrepancies on the tool offerings, but nothing game changing.
  20. @PineyChapelPiddler ask and he shall receive. Hot off the presses……DeWalt’s newest Mid Torque. Holy Driver, this thing just took over 1st place from the 40v Makita!! By a Lot. I can only imagine the numbers the new High Torque are gonna drop!!
