Dewalt track vs Sherlock Holmes

Yep, you can leave it on if you want. Also, the fasteners have little springs, so when you take the fence off, the 2 knobs will stay in place.

Yeah, the bolt sticks out a little. It's in the 2nd groove which is used in combination with Festool tracks.

Don't know if it interferes. If it does, just grab a grinder and shorten the heads or change out the bolts for low profile ones...

Going to order myself one of these.

Cheers jules Rossi for confirming it.

No worries Dano... Being one of the Official Tool testers here in the UK, I obviously have direct e-mail addresses to key players in relevant departments. I simply e-mailed the Posted photo, and re-posted his response..

Glad to be of service...

How did you manage to become a tester?

Wouldn't mind getting some tools to test ;)

In your second to last pic Mr. Yellow the fence is on the other side for storage / base widening but does it interfere with the max plunge depth of the saw???? it looks like the motor body might hit it at full plunge???

You are right. It interferes with doing a full plunge cut. You'd have to slide it a bit further so the fence sits outside of the housing.

No problem if you want it to use for widening the base. Even better I reckon.

As for storage. I don't leave it on there. I have a ToughSystem and the fence fits it there perfectly with the saw, blades and other accessories.
