chadlanthier
Sometimes dewalt s very very slow in releasing products. And other times they have plans that end up just not paning out. Who knows, I like this little add on with the Festool fence though. It looks like it belongs.
Mr. Yellow
All it needs is a little DeWALT sticker
RickyMcGrath
So it works both directions, which is nice as you can store it away from the blade so it's always on there. I can't picture the whole setup? The nut looks like it sticks out of the recess a hair? But it not in the groove for the track so it won't interfere? Mr. Yellow
Yep, you can leave it on if you want. Also, the fasteners have little springs, so when you take the fence off, the 2 knobs will stay in place.Yeah, the bolt sticks out a little. It's in the 2nd groove which is used in combination with Festool tracks.Don't know if it interferes. If it does, just grab a grinder and shorten the heads or change out the bolts for low profile ones...

DooDar
In your second to last pic Mr. Yellow the fence is on the other side for storage / base widening but does it interfere with the max plunge depth of the saw? it looks like the motor body might hit it at full plunge??? You are right. It interferes with doing a full plunge cut. You'd have to slide it a bit further so the fence sits outside of the housing. No problem if you want it to use for widening the base. Even better I reckon. As for storage. I don't leave it on there. I have a ToughSystem and the fence fits it there perfectly with the saw, blades and other accessories.
