While the BT battery is interesting, I think BT tool control would be more useful. I wonder if milwaukee snagged that patent and dealt was left with battery. Maybe that's what one key is.

I believe so. Some speculation is that tools will allow for BlueTooth to literally program the tool for different settings. A customization of tools.

To me this should be a natural evolution of the units. Just phase out the regular batteries and introduce these for the same price and stop the rape. Yea production is more expensive but I bet it's dollars which would well be exceeded by the increase in sales with kits. 

 

Charging people more for something "neat" is historically a letdown in the marketplace. Dewalt will get destroyed by Milwaukee's new program for anyone who is really serious about these features, they'll be getting a WHOLE lot more bang for their buck.
