RickyMcGrath
Just received shipping notification for my Gen 2 Fuel drill from the Milwaukee Symposium Giveaway. There was some discrepancies as to what drill kit will be given away. It will be delivered Tuesday, but the shipping weight is 29.4lbs. What's everyone's best guess as to what kit it is? DR99
I think you might have got both the Drill and Impact driver kits. Home Depot has the weight of the two piece combo kit as 18lb's with xc batteries.
RickyMcGrath
Where's the other 10lbs coming from?
comp56
from my experience, shipping weight can be very ball park......
DR99
I was trying to say Milwaukee may have shipped you a Full Drill kit and Full Impact driver kit with that kinda weight. I could be wrong though. The other thing is like Comp mentioned the weight might not be accurate.

BMack37
from my experience, shipping weight can be very ball park...... It's always cheaper to mail something overweight than to have UPS hit you with the penalty for being under weight. 10lbs is excessive, 2-3lbs over is not uncommon but 10lbs? jbw55
The 2896-24 kit would be nice.....
JerryNY
When I got my fuel hammer drill and impact driver kit shipped to me the weight was like 8 lbs listed on UPS' tracking page and I freaked out thinking they sent me the wrong thing too but it ended up being the right thing. The weight was way off. I think manufactures and retailers with accounts with shippers make their own labels and sometimes screw things up but being that they have large accounts they probably reconcile the weight/cost after the fact if there is a discrepancy. electromage
I wonder if they padded the weight just to make you guess.

kruton
Or.... Maybe it's a box of rocks and that's what I won. [emoji12]Yeah, but they are probably really sweet rocks! If they are Milwaukee rocks you know they are going to look good too! Seriously though, I am curious now to see what they sent you. I may try to look back and see what the shipping weights were compared to actual weights of a couple tools I ordered recently.
RickyMcGrath
I'm trying not to get my hopes up. That DeWalt track showed a 50+ lb shipping weight. It must have been palletized.

RickyMcGrath
That's wayyyy more than I would have guessed. Combined weight of the kits is 27.21lbs plus the box and packaging. That's pretty close to the shipping weight.
