It's not a Makita but my Festool Carvex is the best jigsaw I've ever used.the barrel grip is phenomenal. And you can get a coping foot for most of these barrel grips and do free hand coping for a variety of tasks most notably crown molding. I won't go back to a D handle again. Madman picked up the new Bosch which is an incredible machine and Makita happens to make a highly rate barrel grip jig saw themselves for a great price.
  2. Not only that but "testimonial" videos can be a joke....(ie Makita Guy) Oops....did I strike a chord again
  3. Well that may be but he is funny!'it's like that episode of Friends when Monica (?) rides that really funny guy who drinks too much until he stops then he becomes a whiney bore! If it works.......
  4. Yes you do. For me that was something I don't need (not now or planning to be) a mechanic. But that was a great deal regardless!
  5. Just checked on line, currently sold out guys Interestingly the Makita version was listed at $179 and it is sold out on line too.
  6. What model is the impact. Also, if you just bought it at a local store I might return it after verifying this is a problem. Additionally Milwaukee has in my opinion the BEST warranty out there. Don't fret if you got a lemon, I can assure you it's a rarity and it'll be replaced faster than you can imagine.
  7. Great find Samuel! I still wonder how the straight Dewalt 20v stacks up now.
  8. Well there ha go KWC. Us Americans aren't fat. That proves it. Now.....if you'll excuse me I have to get a burger.
  9. Glue? A gallon? That's cause he's sniffing it between puffs!
  10. Mehhhhh....... Sounds like a good day at HD to me!
  11. That's cool you guys ordered that new gun. I am hopeful you could post something on it? I can order it but I honestly don't think I could use it. My new Bosch IDH182 has a 1/2" square drive for impact sockets and although I can use that for timber work (especially some landscaping and deck building this summer) I don't do gear stuff so I just don't need an automotive tool. I'd buy the Milwaukee over the Dewalt in the event I needed it but literally can't think of a reason to have it other than to say "look at meeeeeee"!
  12. Yeah I just checked a while ago Mike and the base unit is sold out. I'd love to get the Milwaukee but the Dewalt is a lot cheaper. And like Travis pointed out and even in Eric and Dams review, it's not a Mac or Snap On but it'll do me just great!
  13. I'd like to try the Rockler clamp out. I was so close to buying it and then said "Nahhh". I am thinking about getting the dog set from Precision Dogs and putting the Kreg face clamp on it and then into the holes on my MFT.
  14. Yeah, I'm I agreement but for 125 and not tool boxes it will serve me pretty well in the shop. I won't have the base box but it'll look good next to my slightly yellow side of the shop
  15. I'm liking the deeper drawers too. Much better for me to store the bigger tools.
  16. Don't fret Comp. Who knows, maybe I'll get some red paint:)
  17. http://t.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-6-Drawer-Metal-Top-Storage-Chest-in-Yellow-DWMT73678/205038303/ No peg board. This'll look good in the new shop....holding those new Klein hand tools! I'll have to wait for the Milwaukee one to show up. Maybe they will know the price down. Then maybe Bosch will have one. Then maybe Festool will have one. Then maybe....... The Dewalt one has deeper sliders which is great for me because I am not a wrench turner. I need room for the small collection of hand tools I have and measuring equipment.
  18. So being a meat head I figure...."hey, I'll check this cool box on HD"....then, knowing they have been sold out of the Dewalt box for over a month I type in "Dewalt Tool Box"....you'll LOVE this KWC.....I found they have some upper units for the Dealt box for $125 shipped to the store. I bought one.
  19. Thanks for that Nicholas, I will check out the site right now. Really dumb thing to last night.
  20. So here's a question....any chance this is the same company making the Dewalt box? Looks very similar and it wouldn't be the first time tool companies use an outside vendor to put out promotional items.
  21. Wow. That looks pretty darn awesome. And I was kicking myself for not getting the Dewalt!
  22. Thanks Jason! That's awesome!!
  23. Yeah I'm thinking about a whole filtration unit though. I'm looking into a non staticky dust deputy for my midi to conserve bags but for the tools that'd aren't as efficient in DC wouldn't the whole room one help out?
