  1. Thank you sir and NO! Unfortunately yesterday was a wake up call for me. Now I do run two Festool Midis which are perfect for DC and filtration but that cut I made last night was with my Dewalt 20v (which did AWESOME!) and the dust was unbelievable. Stupid stupid stupid rookie mistake. Now I am thinking about doing just that and getting a filter for the whole basement. Have you had any luck with finding any that peak your interest?
  2. There will be one more light ove the wood rack for a total of three. I just have to get the right sized one that'll fit in the confines of the duct work. Tha whole are will be for breaking down sheet goods, storing lumber and assembly.
  3. And got the wood racks and wall installed tonight. Then my Ridgid vac caught a smoke. Burnt the motor out. Oh well it was cheap and other than dropping the thing and spilling out a ton and a half of sawdust and cobwebs it'll go to the dump Saturday. Oh and lesson learned...don't cut fiber cement board indoors without your DC going. Cough cough cough.....
  4. About three years ago u got a Husky toolbox as a gift. It is made by Keeter who also makes the Kreg box. So, three years ago I put my Kreg stuff in it. I'm liking Comps collection, he's got more clamps screws everything but here's mine. They still sell the box at HD and it is a really good quality tool box and secures well and the main compartment has plenty of room for the Kreg tools that you may have!
  5. Alright dude! Just cleaned mine out and was inspecting it. Maybe over the summer I'll replace it, I'd like to see and hear how you make out!
  6. Yeah, I act like the boss at home but EVERYONE knows that's not true. I'm gonna break down and get my own too Oh and thank you sir! Can't wait to hear how it works!
  7. Geez Comp that sucks. Ain't no amount of legal recourse will make that better. Sorry to hear about your accident.
  8. Hey let us know how that switch works out will ya?
  9. Wow. You did it. You bought the heavy duty work site scissors. I've been proudly but be grudgingly trying to stick to my guns on that one. But my bottle opener / wire stripper hasn't steered me wrong.....
  10. It's really up to you. Are you planning on running these tools at work a lot? Also are you going to be buying any other 12v tools from Ridgid. If so, I would do it if I had the cash. But.....if not, you've already registered your tools so battery replacement should not ever be an issue for you so you really need to look at both sides.
  11. Hey no problem Chad. When I speak I like to paint a picture
  12. Comp is that the one that has no static buildup in the materials? I ask because the Dust Deputy (Last one) was burning up Festool vacs. Supposedly they made an improvement to the material so we can use them.
  13. Thanks for sharing that with the forum Sholts. That'll help in the future if a member wants to order tools from Hilti. Have fun with those gleaming red beasts'!
  14. And just so we're clear....I had to look the lyrics up. I'm too sexy for this place....too sexy for this place...
  15. You know.....when I do my little turn on the cat walk....the cat walk, yeah the cat walk...,,
  16. That's really cool guys. I wear these when I dance.
  17. Hahahahahaha. Hey remember to REGISTER your tools with Ridgid. You'll need the receipt AND the box (bar code thingy). Congratulations dude. I think Javier did a review on those tools.
  18. Welcome aboard Rufus! This is a great place to be with great people to help you!
  19. Welcome aboard Brian! Have fun searching and posting. The guys here are great!
  20. Congratulation Sholt, have fun with the new tools. Who did you buy them through?

    Grill

That is really gorgeous Chad. I'd grab one up. Especially when I tear out my main steps and put in a small deck entry. It would look really nice out there. Plus nothing like grilling in style I don't hunt but that look is not lost on me. Plus the adjustment knobs....that's really clever.
  22. Well I've got the M12 line tools for cutters and will soon have the Fuel Impact too (thanks TiA) but for the rest I've got Dewalt and now Bosch (thanks again guys) and Festool. Like Chad, I don't mind straying. I used to have a Milwaukee router but I sold it. Comp is right, they need to start working in that department. Dwain is right too....but it'd be nice to see a wider range for the woodworker. Bosch has the planers, routers etc.
  23. Hahahaha. Thanks Chad for the advice. The limit Chris has is ONE! Otherwise the world will never be able to digest a "Two Beers" Chris!
  24. Oh and I've used the Hilti SFC 181 compact drill. Big drill for a compact but really well made tool. They use a weird composite on the bodies, sort of a glass reinforced something or other. Nice drill, Eric likes them and they did a review on the impact driver. The drill I used was now being made in China. Like I had said earlier, and Comp followed up on....buy what you want and don't skimp. If you've got an idea of what you want but don't have the money for it, you've researched it and reaffirmed your desires then I'd keep saving for the tool set you WANT. Sucks putting a relatively new tool online for sale when you find something shiny and new that you really wanted all along! I'm breaking into the Bosch line now thanks to Dan and Eric and Bosch and I'm really happy I'm there. My Dewalts are new and still treating me really well and my mainstay is Festool.
  25. Hilti and Metabo are great tools. Problem is....if you don't have a regular sales / service guy it is hard to find local people to buy from and service them. Home adept does sell some Hilti tools but in NH there are no Hiltis available in stores. I have never seen cordless Metabo tools for sale out here either. On line yes. Metabo is a real popular brand in Europe as is Bosch and Dewalt not to mention Festool and Makita too.
