  1. and i didnt realize there is also a 6.0ah verison of the 40v battery. if the kit model numbers end in "H1" you get a 4.0ah battery, "M1" you get a 6.0ah battery. http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link_431838742_3?ie=UTF8&node=11267727011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=hero-quick-promo&pf_rd_r=0CF25ZZG024BVWPW2DY2&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=2082977622&pf_rd_i=B00TF02TJG
  2. 700ft/lbs? thats pretty impressive. the 36 volt has what, 350ft/lbs?

did you look down inside the chuck? usually there is a screw threaded into the end of the shaft(through the chuck). i think its reverese thread.
  4. take one of your yellow top bracket clamps, and set it right in the middle of that bracket. its a location bracket. to repeat the same spot when you clamp the top yellow bracket. at least thats the way it is on the miter saw stands.
  5. i usually slide the socket on so that the pin does not line up with the hole in the socket. then you can just pull it off.
  6. really? wow i havent bought a dewalt radio for a while, but the older 18v radios just had aweful sound with no bass at all.
  7. cause i only need one. lol

    Batteries

oh yeah, i forgot about those. lol but the tech isnt as great as the tools designed for lithium-ion. plus the lithium batteries wouldnt work in all the 18 volt tools unless you did some modifcations to the tools or cut some tabs off the batteries.
  9. the rpms are printed on the label/decal on the saw.
  10. i hate to break it to you, but they both use samsung battery cells, along with dewalt.
  11. woah, that looks nice. brushless? nice know the model number? i wonder what the torque output will be.

    Batteries

i would quit wasting money on the 18 volt line. the nicad/nimh batteries just dont last long or have much run time. get newer cordless with lithium-ion batteries, like the dewalt 20v.
  13. have you checked ebay? that's usually the cheapest place for batteries.
  14. so i was at lowes, and happened to look at this saw. it looks like dewalt really did change the rpms. is this blade or motor rpms? i imagine there was a gearing change as well, perhaps? anyways i snapped a pic of the box. the specifications on the box is a sticker with the old specs underneath.
  15. higher the better, but at what cost is the big question.
  16. i'd get a oscillating multi-tool if it were me.
  17. http://www.dewalt.com/tool-categories/outdoorpe.aspx looks like dewalt is coming out with 40v brushless motors in their new outdoor tools. pretty nice. i wish they'd come out with a 40v brushless cordless circular saw, or other tools. please!
  18. wouldn't it be easier and faster to break the wheels into pieces? most cast wheels are brittle. use a press, or sledge hammer. lol
  19. somebody initially made the sidewinder saws right handed, and it was copied the same. lol worm drives are mostly left handed, and those are used by framers who cut all day, if that tells you something. personaly, my go-to cordless saw is the dewalt 36 volt circular. its left handed, has a 7.25 blade, and cuts like a corded saw.
  20. i'd rather have blade on the left. you dont have to stretch your neck to see the line around the saw. its faster, and just makes more sense in my opinion. why are the worm drives left blade? cause thats the way the pros want it!
  21. wow, so this is double the brightness of the dcl050?
  22. i ended up ordering some dcb360 batteries from europe. i like the fuel gauge on these. i have not used them yet to compare. here is a comparison of all 36 volt battery models. also a pic of the dcb360 cells. they use a samsung inr18650-20r cell which is rated at 2000mah. there are 20 cells, wired in two sets of 10 in parallel.
  23. interesting. is the new saw geared different? i thought higher amp hour batteries just provide longer runtime, not more power.
