  1. i've been pretty much a dewalt guy when it comes to cordless. some makita too. but this new milwaukee drill seems pretty impressive. is it that much more powerful than say the dewalt dcd995? should i start buying red?? i do like the brushless circular and sawzall that milwaukee has. i just wish the sawzall had a multi position blade holder.
  2. the rotary was updated, but its based on the 20v version. the newer battery(dcb361 2.0ah) is just a new plastic shell for the most part. the older dc9360 batteries have used 3 different cells over the years. the original came with A123 cells, then went to samsung cells, then sanyo cells. the sanyo cells have almost double the amp hours of the samsung, so dewalt only put have the number of cells inside the battery, with the rest of the case having false filler cells. thats why the newer battery feels lighter. dewalt did come out with a more powerful battery (dcb360 4.0ah), by filling the whole battery shell with cells, but this battery seems to only be available in europe. the original A123 cells samsung cells latest sanyo cells(red). the black are just plastic fillers dc9360 dcb361 dcb360
  3. anyone have any experience between the two different saws with different rpms?
  4. what? world wide or US only? well then i hope dewalt at least comes out with a new 20v 7-1/4 circular saw. preferably brushless. because the 36 volt saw rocks.
  5. oooh, that looks nice! i actually have an older milwaukee radio. i guess the shape is kinda odd to me being more flat than upright, like most radios, no? oh well.
  6. thats an odd shape. maybe in europe you guys use those containers, but here in the usa not many use those containers. so the shape of the radio is kinda odd.
  7. well i still have the makita and milwaukee radios, but no batteries. i was just looking for a dewalt for when i want to run off batteries.
  8. i had a couple of the older 18 volt radios and they had absolutely no bass at all. do any of the newer radios sound better? can anyone compare to the makita or milwaukee radios? those sound great.
  9. yes. i'd really like to see a brushless circular saw.
  10. some of the 36 volt tools i believe just step down the voltage to 18v. like the 36v jigsaw or flashlight for example. in that scenario then, either battery would last the same amount of time i assume...
  11. lets say you have a 20v(18v) saw with a 4.0ah battery and a 36v saw with a 2.0ah battery. would they have the same runtime? any voltage experts?
  12. it'd be nice to offer a 7 1/4 saw with brushless motor. the battery would last a lot longer and the full blade just makes sense. i use the 36volt saw a lot, but dewalt doesnt support that range much, and the batteries are really expensive.
  13. i recently bought one of the new top of the line rockwells. it has the most power and widest sweep angle of all oscillating tools. it'd be nice to have a cordless though. i assume they both use the same blades?
  14. i'd be curious how it compares to the cordless paslode 16ga if you have one.
  15. there sure are a lot of compliments, but you never mentioned how much you paid for them.
  16. people said the same thing about the paslodes, but i proved them wrong. lol i stopped using air nailers back when the orange paslodes came out. and never had any desire to start dragging hoses around again.
  17. welp. i just ordered one. hopefully it lives up to the hype. lol
  18. i love the cordless paslode framers, but the price of the fuel cells is getting ridiculous. can the dewalt keep up? i use my paslodes to frame whole buildings. will the dewalt be able to also? anybody have both who could compare?
  19. how does this compare to the cordless 16ga paslode? the dewalt seems a lot bigger. and when will this be available in the usa?
  20. sounds like motor stalled, and the breaker would not pop, due to being plugged into a small gauge extension cord, or maybe plugged into a poor outlet source.
  21. it really is a great saw. no complaints i can find, except maybe too loud. lol
  22. the sds is a great tool, and the circular saw and sawzall is what keeps me committed to the 36v line. the power and runtime cant be beat, especially if you use the 4.0ah batteries, which are only available in europe for some reason. dcb360
  23. if only dewalt would make a saw like this to use the 36v or 40v battery, it would have double the runtime of the 20v.
