  1. i really enjoy watching the shows, fun to watch what you can do with huge budgets, but id be more interested in a show that makes fixes with the least amount of budget, but i guess that never goes well with advertisers.
  2. got the hose reel in the other day but bad weather past few days delayed the install but i really like the setup, now i have 50ft of retractable hose goodness and 50ft of extension cord. now to tackle the crappy wheels then id be set.
  3. hmm i knew i should have waited a little longer, i bought both not too long ago. both sets have been awesome, i keep a bit set in every tool box and bag, just because im one of those bastards who tends to loose bits or break them quickly. the bosch set is very good, got the 12" extension and went crazy with that, along with the Milwaukee hole saws, been tough on the wallet, but really needed essentials. i really like the max fit bits. bought a discounted flextorque set, not as good as the maxfit bits i think.
  4. FUUUUU...i bought lots of shotgun and pistol ammo and then this comes up, why did that have to happen now! cant return ammo.
  5. most be something fairly recent, ive got some that are beat to hell that 10yrs old, still awesome, some around 5-6 yrs old still kicking, then some about 2-3 yrs that just as good.
  6. now make it 3 saws in one, table saw, miter saw, and circular saw and i will be impressed and throw money at it until i get one.
  7. I have makita mac5200 compressor, just finished fixing her up, new oil, new filter, new pressure switch. runs smooth now. im gonna attach the air hose on mine like this guy did with his mac2400, he just attached it onto a hand truck, my mac5200 already is built like a hand truck. so just slap the hose reel with a mount on front bam, think it will work great as the compressor is pretty heavy and wide doubt it will roll over. could also put it on the back side, as the handles on the mac5200 fold down flat onto itself, which i think it will be the way to go.
  8. haha last day for sale, through email coupon, $30 off. but im going mount it to my air compressor which has a folding handle top part which holds a hose. but with this should make it an awesome wheeled air beast.
  9. pretty cool, i think power and speed might go to makita, runtime im interested for all.
  10. harbor freight caught my interest this morning, got this central pneumatic hose reel, ive wanted one of these for a while never found a good deal on one. for $60 seems like a good one, but well see. anyone have any experence with this one? http://www.harborfreight.com/Retractable-Hose-Reel-with-50-ft-Air-Hose-69265.html
  11. i want a Carvey, most 3d printers never appealed to me, as whats fun about working with more junk plastic? wood and metal is way cooler than plastic! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/carvey/carvey-the-3d-carving-machine-for-the-maker-in-all
  12. i worked in a hospital remodel and i was running cable everywhere, when i needed to drill it had to be timed accordingly because in lots of medical and manufacturing industries, think anything clean room, there are very strict noise and vibration regulations, so if any amount of noise had to be made in strict areas, it had to be scheduled, when we needed to to get into the lab, operating room, we suited up, specifically when it came to the drill, i actually needed to wrap my drill in plastic because small particles coming off the brushes were considered contaminates. also every ceiling tile i removed had to be inside of a containment box, it had me, my ladder and hepa filter and my tools. now i can see how it would have been awesome to have this drill could have gotten so much done in less time. would've cut down on the 14hr days. point is, this is not a niche product, every trade was on site doing something this type of drilling and fastening. you would be amazed how clean the drop ceiling is in surgical areas, took my cleanliness awareness to a different level.
  13. after looking around, im thinking about set of ratcheting wrenches, at least 10 piece per size set, anyone have any feedback on this husky set from HD, 20 piece SAE/METRIC set for $50 http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-SAE-Metric-Combination-Ratcheting-Wrench-Set-20-Piece-HRW20PCSM/205191132
  14. http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCK421D2-Lithium-Ion-4-Tool-Combo/dp/B00NHBZ9AA/ref=br_lf_m_8120554011_1_1_ttl?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=hi&pf_rd_p=1990413502&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=8120554011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=06Q34KK58HD52GVVF436 not as good as the one day deal while back, but still not bad.
  15. from the store sku it seems it was from homedepot canada, http://www.homedepot.ca/product/makita-15-amp-reciprocating-saw/971144 too bad would have picked up a few
  16. when it comes to tools, if it takes care of me, i take care of them, i never throw caution to the wind when it comes to my tools. paranoid i may be, but i never had tools stolen. if i cant engrave i use steel tool dies for marking them.
  17. i use an an engraver and paint, very easy to identify
  18. yeap went to HD and seen the 14pc set from milwaukee, for my needs it will work great, also got the milwaukee 3 piece thin wall kit, i was also thinking of the diablo, but TBA on price and availability kept me from waiting. for $39 for the hole saw kit, not bad as i already owned a few of the other odd sizes.
  19. i have and use irwin unibits for small holes, but most holes sizes i need are from 1"-2.5" think i need to make visit to home depot see what they got.
  20. im in need of new hole saw kit, any good deals/recommendations on kits available, i need to be able to cut wood and thin metal (like cabinets, furniture, mostly thin walled metal) for cable pathways.
  21. meh, disappointing day so far, no food, no good tool deals, just work. then again i didnt want to put pants on this morning.
  22. yeap im in flagstaff on top of mt elden.
  23. i think quality is out the window in recent years for almost everything electronic, its all become a commodity industry, newer stuff is always gamble id say, dont matter that type of equipment and where it comes from, because i repair all kinds of electronics and see the parts that are used in everything. most things are becoming not repairable, due to the amount of cheaper components used.
  24. yeah id think id go with makita, seems they are larger in the Europe and always get the cooler stuff we don't.
  25. i wouldve if i could, nearest lowes is about 300 miles away and taxes are horrible in my state, 10% basically takes off taxes. online from anyone else is cheaper, even got an amazon shipping center in my state, such balls when i pay stupid prices for shipping and taxes.
