  1. Last year I bought a dewalt radio and tried to return it about 60 days later at lowes. Dewalt says they give u 90 days but lowes wouldn't take it back. They said they'd only do 30 day returns. Now I have a crummy radio that gets no reception even tho I'm only like 30 minutes outside of Cleveland. How does that make sense
  2. That's normal on any impact. theres no chuck like on a drill to tighten the bits down. When I first bought an impact I actually had the same concern until I started using it. Once the bit starts drilling in wood it'll run true
  3. Sorry to hear. I haven't but I've looked at some stuff on eBay recently and there are. so many disclaimers in the listings that I just don't trust it.
  4. Me too! So impatient I think I'm gonna buy the brushed version anyways! I have a few extra batteries from the recent promos I need something to put it on lol
  5. That's an odd spot between the two doors for an outside receptacle I'd atleast cut in the box so it's not sticking out if u do that. you can still put a flat weatherproof cover on it instead of a bubble cover
  6. I wonder if completely draining the battery then charging would make a difference? I'm not fully up to speed on batteries like some guys but I remember hearing once that batteries have a memory? So if they were stored for who knows how long on a half charge maybe that has something to do with it
  7. Nice! U know I've followed the whole one key thing since it started but it wasn't until a co worker bought the one key hammer drill that I realized it had the 4 programmable speed settings! I don't know why but I was under the impression u could only program the low and high speed settings. I want one now lol having 3 speeds was my favorite thing about dewalt
  8. Whoops I just noticed the rules thread at the top! Thanks for explaining that
  9. Ok thanks! I've been a lurker for a long time, I'll try to be a little more social!
  10. It won't let me me post in there, there's just no option to do so. Is it a member thing or am I too new here?
  11. Good video, liked the new intro! How do these compare to or what's the benefit to these over a regular auger bit?
  12. I look forward to trying those out. I really like the ergonomics of ideal reflex strippers but the cutters are so small that they often don't cut thru romex in one cut. The new milwaukees addressed that with longer and curved cutters.
  13. I live 15 minutes from arborwear I love those guys! Good people working there and tough clothing! Those are some serious sweatshirts too. Mine take 2 cycles in the dryer to dry
  14. I personally like basic and dual strippers better. I worked with a guy who used them and he loved them tho.
  15. I agree, if an impact is the main tool you're after I'd focus on that and build from there
  16. Yea he is for sure but can u say anything about the loose over molding? I feel like I could pinch it between my fingers if I tried, just doesn't seem right
  17. Got my new fuel sawzall today but first thing I noticed when i picked it up was all the rubber over molding is kinda loose so when u grab it u feel all the space between the tool and the rubber. Feels kinda cheap. I've used the same saw before and never noticed that. Is that normal? On a side note, my co worker just got his 2 days ago and the first cut he made in a 2x4 it had smoke pouring out of it.
  18. It's a good price vs milwaukees m18 model
  19. There's no perfect saw. Sounds like ur looking for reasons to get the 7 1/4. If that's so then get it and enjoy. My co-worker just bought the 7 1/4 and loves it and so do I, but my preference is with the size and blade side so I ordered the 6 1/2 and am happy to say I'll be officially switched over to the red side!
  20. Great deal! I just converted a guy at work, well he kinda converted himself after I let him use my tools. He went on cpo and got that kit with a circ saw and he bought a recip all for like 650. He might need some more batteries tho now
  21. It's a tiny door, it's where the gremlins get in
  22. Minus the additional cost of having to buy a new tool
  23. Sure but 1 battery costs almost what the tool does. and what good is having 1 battery when it dies. So now ur spending another $200 on batteries just to upgrade one of your (probably already existing) tools because none of your other 5+ batteries will work in it. I can see that for a big bad specialty tool but not a recip or circ saw.
