  1. I was struggling and frustrated with bits for so long until someone on here recommended the makita gold and what a difference, that's all I buy now as well
  2. Well The 6.0 shows being 2.25lbs and the 9.0 at 2.8lbs so atleast we know there's definitely a weight difference
  3. Omg and their worried about breaking it
  4. Someone posted about this a while back that their batteries would be fully charged but only show 1 or 2 lights. Maybe they are charged but the lights are working right
  5. I'm over it, I love all my Milwaukee tools and tool boxes now too I'm just tired of talking about this drill
  6. I like the tools in action award ?
  7. I don't think it's that unlikely when u read reviews and hear about other people having the same issue. Battery was fine, full charge, I have 5 batteries in rotation and none of my other tools have ever acted like this
  8. Well the new drill they sent me went unresponsive today. That's the third one now wtf
  9. So are there 2 different flexvolt sds drills coming soon? U can see in this link it looks like an sds max http://toolcraze.net/dewalt-flexvolt-60v-tools-new-track-saw-blower-chainsaw-rotary-hammer-string-trimmer/
  10. Considering 3,4 and 5 are about the same size I'd drop the 3 but if they want to keep a cheap option then I'd keep 3 and drop 4
  11. So tools keep getting smaller and lighter and batteries are getting bigger and heavier. It's all starting to get lopsided
  12. Wish they would've done a little more with the looks of them
  13. I got a little touchy feely with this drill today at hd and it was actually pretty nice. U guys are right about the ratcheting chuck but although subtle there did feel like some kind of tightening action going on so I didn't think it was that bad
  14. For short metal blades I've been buying morse blades from the supply house and I really like them. They are thicker so they don't bend and deform like the Milwaukee blades I had. I'd really like to try diablo tho
  15. So the chuck doesn't ratchet closed? Just hand tight the best u can? That's new to me I've never seen that before
  16. The hard switching is probably a good thing, that and that its kinda recessed. The switch on my fuel drill sticks out and I've accidentally hit while drilling and u just hear everything grinding inside
  17. My dislike of 995 was a big part of me switching to Milwaukee. Had the 996 been out I probably wouldn't have. One thing I hated about the 995 was the slow ramp up when when using the clutch settings in screw mode. The 996 still has that but it is much improved- on lower clutch settings it ramps up slow but the higher u go on the settings the quicker the ramp up becomes to wear it's almost non existent in the highest setting. Dewalt really fine tuned this drill. And another thing I don't think I saw mentioned in the video was hammer mode actually has a higher rpm than drill mode.
  18. I'd like to see Ave take one of these apart
  19. I agree with all this but I'll add that I will be using it for its intended purpose of roughing in electrical
  20. I'm in the market and just looking for opinions from guys who use it. Ive read some mixed reviews specifically about power and runtime. I have all 5.0 batteries so I'm not too concerned on that end, and I'd mostly use it for 1" and under holes so I know its capable, but I'm worried to buy it and use it and find that my hammer drill has more power then I'd probably be disappointed. The flexvolt s&d drill would be my next choice and to be honest I don't think I'm even interested in the super hawg.
  21. Well got a call from Milwaukee today from their drill department. They are overnighting a new drill to me and I'm assuming it's in the air now all the way to Cleveland! I'm going to be sending my old drill to them so they can look at it and figure why it's acting the way it is. The new drill I bought that was acting up is going to be returned because I already purchased a 3rd drill. It's a lot going on but hopefully I'll end up with a drill that'll last atleast until a gen 3 comes out! Thanks to TIA for going to bat for me and thanks Mayela from Milwaukee for the help! ?
  22. A cold day at work inspired this thought- lets say they make a lunch box similar to their small tool box. But make the lid a compartment that's heated that way you can warm up your sandwich on a cold day AND have a heated seat on a cold day ?
