  1. That has been available here (downunder) for ages.
  2. I got the 36 as I felt it had less vibration, maybe due to the extra weight.
  3. I am about to get some new tools after our flood so I will do some new pics soon.
  4. Hey! What happened to the pics I put on this thread... they have disappeared...strange...
  5. That will be plenty of work for the batteries!
  6. I get most of my Makita stuff from Handy Warehouse, overall he is cheaper than most on Makita stuff and will get you anything they stock real quick. I have the Brushless Skillie and it is a beaut. DHS680 around $330 for the skin. P.S. Good to see a few more Kiwis on here
  7. Get it, you won't regret it, not at that price.
  8. After recent flooding I have to replace a few tools, one of which is an 8 inch bench grinder. Our insurance company likes to deal with Bunnings and this is the only 8 inch they have: https://www.bunnings.co.nz/aeg-550w-200mm-bench-grinder_p06230133 Anyone got any comments on this grinder? Also this Ryobi Thicknesser? https://www.bunnings.co.nz/ryobi-1500w-planer-thicknesser_p00254317 Thanks
  9. I just found the original thread I posted about this in
  10. I first heard about this at a Makita Expo in June last year. At that we were shown pictures of a new charger that would work on existing batteries to basically turn them on and off at certain times. Surprised it still hasn't been released, and clearly not made just for the US.
  11. I wish I could get Makita deals like that where I live. Worth it just for the battery!
  12. I have been wanting a cordless one of these for a while now. A trim router is often the only tool I have to grab a lead for these days.

  14. I also have this grinder and love it. Shits all over my old Hitachi 18v grinder. I have done a YT review of this tool also (who hasn't?). Just subbed to your channel. Off to use the grinder now.
  15. I hear that there is a new 36v rear handled Circular saw... anyone know any more about this?
  16. Yeah that's a shame as I want one, but know I will be unhappy with it. Trying to get away from air tools and this is the last tool that I really use my compressor for.
  17. Makita make fantastic planers, always have. They have always been the best over the years. As mentioned above, check out Dwains YT vid on Planers and the decision should be clear. Although it also depends on which platform you use the most, etc.
  18. They sure are! I have only just got them so haven't given them a good long run yet, but so far so good.
  19. The MLT100 is hopefully the worst tool Makita make. Good ideas, poor implementation. I still need to upload more vids on all the mods you need to make to this saw to make it decent.
