    Upcoming event.

Are you guys a big fan of the new fan?
  2. Apparently Makita isn't the only one using the term sub compact. Milwaukee is using it now. Seen a post on facebook where Milwaukee said something about the m12 subcompact bandsaw.
  3. One feature that is seemingly missing is the ability to have the same functionality as the tough system cart and wall rack. No wall rack or cart to hold the packout boxes were announced. Seems like a missed opportunity to not have the ability to mount on a wall rack. Milwaukee may have something up their sleeve. Hopefully they will unveil it in their next wave of packout releases. Thats the one feature where tough system still has the upper hand. Maybe could call it the "UnPack Rack"?
  4. a router with a screen. Sounds kinda cool.
  5. I like how you made the router table look nice and quality. Some guys just use cheap plywood and lumber and call it good. Shop looks great.
  6. does anyone else make them?

    I can't wait!

DeWALT has had it for a few years as well. Not sure about 5 though.
  8. Is it just the saw or Flexvolt tools in general? The 20v batteries have no problem shipping because the batteries have low enough watt hours to meet the requirements for flying in an airplane. The 60v batteries have too much watt hours so DeWALT kinda tricked the system by having a special airplane clip that essentially converts the battery into 3 20v batteries. Maybe it has something to do with that. If you have Amazon, might be worth checking to see if the 570 is available. It tends to have many DeWALT kits. The 570 sounds like a great saw but the 575 is supposedly better. DeWALT has a lot of engineering that went into making the battery shippable. I don't see why it should have problems shipping. Might be worth a second try if you are still interested in the 575? Maybe it would be worth checking with the customs and see if there is any way to get the 575?

    The new DCS570

I posted in your other post I hope it helps or at least I tried to help.
  10. If you want to use the tray then a 300 will be too short. a 400 or 450 might be enough.
  11. Next big thing predictions battery tech improvements. li-ion to solid state I heard it will be even more so what li-ion was to ni-cd when bluetooth tools become a time saver and more convenient to use? Less user wear

    Upcoming event.

well Dan posted this pic. looks like it is in August. I wonder if it will be any better than nps17?
  13. I don't see it as a bad thing. Every tool company has had first releases for all their tools.

wait a sec. how does the same sized cell combined with the same amount of cells equal higher amp hours? I have broken plenty of torx framing screws in mode 3. I leave mine on mode 2. Mode 1 just isn't enough for work at least.
  15. I started working summers. My first job was a detasseler which is only a 2 week per year job in the hottest part of July. Pay is decent but it wasn't a fun job so I didn't apply for the next year. I went to go work for a mowing company for a few years. Best job I have ever had. My dad made me get a part time job during the school year starting in 11th grade. I got a job at Pizza Hut and stayed with it for 5 years which included most of college. Now I work for a small General Contractor in the town of 3000 I live in. We do a wide variety of stuff. Mostly new construction and remodels.
  16. so when is the 3.0 and 6.0 m18 batteries coming out? or are they already out?

a 4/12 flexvolt would make the 3/9 flexvolt look small. haha.
  18. I smelled this when I used to have a brushed drill kit and didn't have any issues. Never really used the kit much so its hard to say if anything was wrong.

    Upcoming event.

So I have heard multiple people say there is a DeWALT event coming up. I have heard it is in July but the most recent rumor is August according to kreuger construction. Anyone know the official date? What you guys think will be there or want to see? I'm expecting tool connect will take a large portion of the event with demos and whatnot but I could also see new flexvolt stuff and possibly new dust collection. A fan, wheel cart, and rear handle saw are rumored.
  20. I'm guessing next year when they release the more powerful battery with the 21700 cells.
  21. I have never seen a systainer in person but I have heard of guys who use festool on the jobsite especially where dust collection is very important. Finish or cabinet guys would use em but a rough-in or framer guy wouldn't use one.
  22. actually a ds130 is taller than a ds150 Has Milwaukee mentioned what future boxes are coming or was this just them saying more are coming? I may consider Packout if I ever decide to switch storage solutions. It is superior to tough system at the moment. The only way I could see tough system getting any better is if DeWALT were to make a "gen 2" kinda like what Tanos did with the systainer when they introduced the systainers with t-loc to replace the old systainer system. They were somewhat compatible with the old system but at the same time a new system. I think the metal tubing on packout is a great idea and should be used in tough system. I'd like to see half width boxes and trays for tough system but I'm not sure it is possible without a redesign. Would be cool if the spring loaded handles on current tough system were changed in such a way as to keep current functionality with the wall rack and cart but function as a latching mechanism as well to replace the weak plastic tabs.
  23. I got the impression that the switch to 21700 cells are Milwaukee's answer to x2 and flexvolt. I would be surprised if they went to an x2 setup. Supposedly they foresee that it will last them at least 10 years. I doubt they will last that long.
