  1. I had same issue and got a free replacement. Mine came in a box like this
  2. @ChrisK what jig saw replacement are you getting?
  3. maybe ask to look at it first then make you decision then?
  4. @Framer joe I'd go cordless even in a shop but that is my preference. If I got a Festool jigsaw I would go cordless. In terms of sanders I got the Rotex 150 sander. Do I wish it was cordless? sure but I can't complain with such a great unit. With a coarse mode and a fine mode it is quite versatile. Next on my Festool list is one of the cordless hybrid sanders. With the 30 min runtime and 30 minute charge you will have continuous cordless runtime. I'm also considering a Festool vac with the ToolNut 10% off vacs and mft deal it seems very enticing.
  5. @ShovelheadCody they tend to announce new tools in the summer but they generally do not arrive until later sometimes stuff doesn't even arrive until the next year.
  6. this thing blows my mind the speed is insane. It seemed to have a lot of power before it even started impacting
  7. the new product is a string trimmer with carbon fiber shaft, a line reload system that reloads with the push of a button, and a worse positioned safety trigger.
  8. yeah not to impressed for this months deals.
  9. I gave up on autocorrect so I turned it off.
  10. I wish I could buy that it looks really nice. An interchangeable chuck drill is something on my wish list.
  11. So tomorrow Ego will be announcing something new. Im kinda leaning towards a tool they do not have yet but I am not for sure.
  12. That sounds nice. Saves time too if you have replacements on hand.
  13. Do you mean Chevron or Chervon? Kinda confusing since both are brands.
  14. Tomorrow is February 1st which means many current deals end today and hopefully new deals tomorrow. I wasn't impressed with the January deals but I heard rumor February could be better.
  15. I didn't see anything about Kobalt or Ego going away. Did I miss something?
  16. I knew about the wrench but I must have misunderstood something about the power head or forgot specifics. I thought it was going to be part of the 4 stroke gas line but then again the x2 line for it sound familiar. I also found this. Maybe something to make a tool AWS compatible? https://www.makitatools.com/products/details/198901-5
  17. One sander I have never had bog down is my Rotex 150. Even with gears disengaged it still has loads of power. That is to be expected with such a premium sander. I have had 5 in Bosch ros palm sanders at work bog down with medium to heavy pressure. If those are anything to go by I would say the Ryobi is no better. The palm 5in Bosch sanders aren't up to the same standards as the rear handle 5in Bosch sanders which are better. I have used a Skil and a DeWALT palm sander and they are probably comparable to the Bosch.
  18. I wasn't including non SB&D brands that use DeWALT batteries. I don't know how many non SB&D brands use the DeWALT batteries.
  19. the only compatible SB&D tools are DeWALT and MAC. We could also throw Craftsman and MAC into the mix to make it 7 brands with power tools
  20. Ego had the 575 cfm blower for awhile but the 580 cfm one is new to me
  21. I seen Ego has a new Brushless hedge trimmer out now. It is a normal unit not the attachment for the powerhead system. Ego claims it is the first cordless hedge trimmer with a 1 in cut capacity. I would guess the runtimes are excellent. I used my brushed unit with one 2.5 battery for a full mornings of work cutting bushes and it still showed a green light on the battery when I was done. Also I noticed more new products. The power plus hedge attachment and a new 580 cfm blower. I did not see the 9.0 battery or the new mower or at least I thought there was a new mower coming.
  22. I got some disappointing news. Apparently the Flexvolt mixer is not coming to North America. I'm surprised to hear this news, it was even at the Tough in the South event with 60v branding.
  23. I am going to guess it has options for a hex style chuck and an offset chuck.
  24. Yes but it can only be used as the top most unit on a tough system stack. You can't connect any boxes on top of the charger. You can only connect boxes to the bottom of the charger. I am not sure if it can be put onto a tough system wall or van rack.
