  1. The compact will vibrate like a mofo.....but I still like it for deck stuff like finishing a cut in a 6x6....but if you do demo the Flexvolt is much better.....however neither are even close to Milwaukee.... which we use at work framing...the other crew likes the new Makita AVT...
  2. Cutting downward Bman ? Not on horses flat ? That's unusual for me to see....but I'm with Grump on the base and motor over the stock not dropping to the ground...
  3. While I see your point Jman....I'll quarantine that if 3 things are needed to be cut by a sawzall..one metal, one wood, one nail embedded wood.....I'll grab my Milwaukee with a demo blade and muscle through them all before a guy is done programming..one key..for each item ....most of the time ,,muscle ,a good tool and a great blade is all you need.....time =money...every minute saved ,,multiplied by dozens of guys...adds up on large jobs................ I get it's progress,i guess...I see a value for someone...not for real world production builders.............don't know what a "cut brake" is....Bman
  4. @Tug Are they framing homes in London?
  5. Zinzan...yup yup..definitely no difference in the tool...I have both left and right circ saws for certain cuts ...I'm righty and use blade right don't get the "left thing" but I'm all for options for all users............is there a drill right / left ? Lol
  6. New stuff ....when is this show,expo..?
  7. I'm all for options....lefties rejoice!!
  8. No @Grumpy MSG....I may have waited for powerful cordless tools because the cordless tools that were out there sucked ...but I've been running companies for 30plus years...reading plans for the same....supers carry iPads or tablets...this is Dewalt crap...tick is crap..one key is crap...tool connect is crap....ya someone will buy it and play with the tech aspect of it...it will never increase the productivity of building a wall..or installing windows,trim..etc..... ...what happens when Dewalt changes its mind AGAIN and decides to do a whole NEW system that's better....NO,....Companies use phones,tablets,iPads,computers,etc..even quick connect by sprint "beep beep" is fast and easy which i also use daily to get ahold of someone.... ...ya guys that get it free will say it's great,I'm a fanboy but no..no..no
  9. Ok,let me help you...I run large companies,,myself(supervisor) and foreman carry iPads...a phone isn't large enough to view plans.....an iPad works perfectly..it is large enough and has a phone plan,emails,etc....you don't call up to a foreman..you call him and ask him to meet in the office (job site trailer) you go over any change orders and send him a "PDF" so he has a copy........ ...emails are used 100% of the time so there is a record of every transaction...plans,changes,orders,deliveries..etc...what Dewalt wants to do is useless...I'm sure some will buy into it..but not most or near all will not.. ...inventory is kept daily of tools,nails,supplies...tools and nails are checked out and in...ultimately the .foreman is responsible for everything and repairs...my job is to run everything as smooth as possible and to find ways to increase safety and productivity daily....the bottom line is profit ,whatever company can increase our profit is where we buy, Preferably 1 company ,but usually not the case...
  10. Nice find.....can't go wrong with the beast
  11. Wow is that a bad direction to head down......I know none of the builders will buy into that crap.....just give us tools ...lots of tools on the same platform....framers will not stop to program a tool, just give me ...more POWA.......R and D more tools..... .........is that 890 just battery into steel and concrete or is a gun shell used like Hilti??
  12. It's possible Jman....I'm sure the next gen lith batteries will be better..and so on....I hope ...smaller and more powerful not larger....
  13. I'll hope for the best.....love to see a new power station gen 2...
  14. I'm sure you've been on the forum for a while @Bremon so your probably used to different levels of excitement for tool shows ....but just joining in November with that ...."worlds first " being my first event ....it would be very disappointing if the same level of excitement and tools revealed didn't happen....I've only been cordless since 20v max came out......I always carried a generator.....never got into 18v Ryobi or any brand ,, just not powerful enough then.... I hope it's a kick ass reveal of cordless tools....because nobody I know wants Stanley BD anything...
  15. @Cr8ondt....oh ya...it does get addicting that Ryobi line....I'm die hard Dewalt but they fall short in many areas....Ryobi fills them...
  16. @Tug...besides the 3 lights tethered to a base ? Got any pics of those Ryobi new lights ?
  17. That nailer will be expensive if it's like Hilti ...but I'll get one quick and sell the Hilti.....glad to see the nailer expansion like B man said......why would Dewalt be all about Stanley and hammer home the Flexvolt and 20v max line.....crazy
  18. Love the Ryobi flood lights....but he needed Dewalt lights...
  19. No snit like a Hilti? Shoots nails into Crete and steel ?
  20. @Conductor562...nice job...I coached youth baseball for years ...I built a snack shelter 10x16 for our pop warner football team...and the next year a 12x20 roof with tables under......so I commend your efforts....thank you for giving back .. ......it is very hard to get volunteers ....time is the greatest gift you can give a child
  21. By this time last year I was out of my mind with excitement over the ..Worlds First event by Dewalt......do I have my time frame mixed up? Did I miss a new topic ? Tools in action guys have said nothing......I can't find any news about New tools......No one on here has said anything to watch for........ Where is all the media , where's the hype ?? Or I'm I just new to this forum and last year was a fluke event.....I mean I was literally BLOWN AWAY last year.....trying to find every video outlet I could watch....I couldn't even work..... Where's the BEEF ? (gotta be older to know that expression)
  22. Ah.....I know your a set builder ,figured you mostly worked on site...but a shop guy has power everywhere. Lucky you....why bother with cordless....cool profession btw....
