  1. I think you can both the 16g and 18g in a large stack box
  2. Ya @ChrisKI the 16g is 20degree angled is the new 15 g the same cuz our 15g air is 28 degree ?
  3. Ego ...new for 2017 a hand held blower with 575 cfm at 149 mph ..variable trigger brand new.....ego constantly tries to top itself as the king of ope...cordless/gasless
  4. Is that 28 degree ? I think the 16g is less
  5. Fluffy .the comic .in Chicago funny shit I just watched ......2 battery stuff i.e. Makita is awkward ..usually heavy...on a stationery tool ok.....
  6. Ah, 40v isn't leaving,18v isn't leaving,20v isn't leaving,60v either........crazy when guys say the platform is going away....agree 60v ope doesn't last but also not powerful enough compared to other brands.....the DIY thing...Bman...I wouldn't call you the avg DIY guy,, with tool forum talk and tool knowledge.....90% of DIY guys at HD know absolutely nothing about tools or tool safety and Should Not be buying Powerful Flexvolt Cordless Tools......and Ego is Best......more POWA
  7. Flexvolt is a definitely a viable option Jman....the runtime and cut capacity of the flex circ with a 3/9ah beats any other cordless tool period ....it easily lasts all day with two batteries or 1 and put it on the charger at lunch.......it is easily more powerful then most corded circ saws except worm drive ...and maybe the 2battery Makita....... ................I should know ,, been framing over thirty years and as I said before no one has built more houses then us ..including neighborhoods or large customs .............PLUS I use it to frame decks every weekend with my deck company.. ......The complete Flexvolt system is the Best System (except the sawzall...FUEL wins) ....Many Framing companies now use the complete system....DIY not so much, nor should they buy into it......... ......Nothing is better then being cordless ! Not fighting for power..or plug space,,tripped breakers....... Flexvolt does more then just ....make a living ...it creates wealth
  8. I hear that @Cr8ondt...I love em and hate em......what I don't understand is with all these guys on here that supposedly have inside info but "can't talk" right now.....and other guys that are privileged to see and try new tools........why don't they tell Dewalt insiders that customers are pissed off with their tool strategy......why doesn't TIA Dan and Eric say something to Dewalt about ...... ... start expanding existing lines instead of starting new ones ....add new tools that other companies don't have to existing lines ....release tools to preorder customers first, and dedicated tool suppliers not HD ....stop focusing on gadgets and build long lasting quality tools ....release accessories for tools at the same time ,not months later to get it and if guys are saying this to Dewalt why doesn't Dewalt give a shit about losing customers..........Happy Mothers Day
  9. I'll give a heads up when the 997 comes in....when I can order it....not getting the dcf888 @Jronman .....or dcd792....I love the 887 and 791..especially the 791....I know tool connect/Bluetooth will allow some (3)? Rpm change or something but I'd have to hear that it's sooooooooo much better then the 791 or 887 .......I assume in a couple years they'll be a newer 791 or 887 ...I'd prob wait for those.............. .............maybe Dewalt catches up and gets impulse?
  10. Thanks for the info guys....of course I'm leery about the whole track saw thing but who knows I may love it...tough to teach an ol dog new tricks....I like the idea of not clamping it down...I don't know the model as I have not seen it yet...I think the boss is playing with it first......which is ..good for me ,stay off my job site..,,.owners only mess things up......ya know........more POWA!
  11. Ya I'm gonna return my 996 I just got and get the new 997 ...cuz I just need to try it out...plus it looks cool
  12. They sound great,as a matter of fact my boss told me he bought a Festool track saw today for the job.(we use all Dewalt tools ) but said it's supposed to be the best.....i said that expensive tool will be destroyed being around framers....he said guys use it to cut stringers, lvl beams, not just plywood....never heard of that.....but I'm ol school and still use a Motorola flip phone... .......from what all you guys say....it sounds great...seams like more work to me screwing or clamping a track down for every cut...
  13. Ya .real .gps on the Verizon network...so true gps locator to get you within 50' of your tool..it said...19$ a month. Anywhere in the Verizon coverage area..which is the USA..and covers up to 10 tools...... ..............ALSO you can disable the tool by.....TEXT message EVAN if it doesn't have a battery on it...
  14. Sometimes I forget that a lot of you guys are finish guys...my world is all framers....thanks for the input.....sounds great,,I would suppose then ,corded or cordless really doesn't matter within that scope then.....especially if your using a vacuum or dust extractor with it......more POWA!
  15. I initially said it's probably a gimmick, but after reading Dewalts site....the tool connect Bluetooth stuff sounds real nice....I'd pay that 19$ a month to gps my stolen tool and go get it....sensors,locks....really looks good...thanks j man
  16. So @ChrisK you want the rip or cut to be straighter then a circ saw will give on the initial cut before the table saw is used? If it's a rough cut ,why not just snap a line and use a circ saw ? Or does the track saw give a factory edge thus giving you less waste out of a sheet ? That I get.....
  17. Now the rigid cordless compressor is great....we use it with a 10 ft hose in a man lift to install windows with a roofing gun....no more dragging a hose around a huge house or rerouting the house to reach somewhere.....now a cordless roofing gun would be even better for installing windows.!!!'
  18. So I hear many opinions on the track saw...I assume a track saw is for....?( I get cutting a straight line) If your cutting sheets of mdo or birch ,etc for inside ,don't finish guys use a tablesaw ? If your cutting cdx exterior ply, don't you snap a line and use a circ saw ? Of course I'm a builder so we don't use track saws for framing or ext trim.....just curious of its need ? But glad Dewalt has one............
  19. Been waiting for your review, still haven't bought the 293 yet...I'll wait for your drilling review as you seem to drill more then I do...but sounds great...thanks for an in depth review..
  20. Makita kicks everyone's ars ? That's insane.. First ,td170,not even close to beating Dewalt dcf877, not specs..real world use....the other crew I run uses only Makita corded and cordless, including the newest cordless tools....Makita is a third level company behind Dewalt and Milwaukee......the fuel sawzall kills the new AVR makita ...the 7.25 Makita cordless mitre sucks ....the circ saws, are a joke.......Makitas batteries charge fast and your gonna need a fast charge ,cuz they don't last long.. Garage use demos and real world building are two different worlds,,,,I give props when props are due a company,,..Flexvolt rocks,Fuel rocks,M12 rocks and 20v max tools are great....
  21. It is addicting....buying Ryobi ......love my Dewalt cordless tools ...but Ryobi fills in most of the gaps that Dewalt and other lines don't have.(or didn't have).......I have many Ryobi tools that get abused daily and have lasted years....the Trim router is awesome ...fan, lights, orbital sander ,inflater, caulking gun, glue gun, ....and you can get a 2 pack of 4ah for 50-60$. ,,after a holiday or sale......the finish guns are great also.......with more always coming
  22. Very easy to fix this problem.....buy Dewalt ... more POWA!!
  23. I like it ,assuming the blade holds up until I'm ready to break away another blade....maybe small companies or crews or a DIY guy will set a shoe to use more of the blade.....knuckleheads on a production framing crew, just grab the sawzall and abuse it to cut something.....the blade can be almost new ,,but misuse causes the blade to break at the base ........... This new blade in a blade allows the user to just put a new blade in the sawzall,,,without a trip to the truck.......why not just leave a pack of sawzall blades on site ,you ask ? Because that pack will be gone in 1day,...instead of having to ask me where the blades are ,for a new one.....unfortunately a crew comprises of some laborers who are not talented....but needed..and cost of blades, all types of blades is a large expense...........
  24. So by Europe specs ...on a couple sites...the dcn 680 will be..(compared to the dcn660) W. -1mm (same) L. -8mm (5/16) H. -41mm (1.5") wt. same
