  1. Verify that the piston driver is going all the way back up after firing. Could be weak return springs. I think they are easily replaced.
  2. I like the small nose piece on this and the 18ga nailer. But with the extra pressure(vs pneumatic) required to depress it, it is very easy to leave indent marks on soft pine.
  3. How come? Siding need more support??
  4. It's the best subfloor you can buy. It is real hard and dense and doesn't swell. Used to frame lots of multifamily units, and have installed thousands of those sheets!
  5. I'm buying this Pronto. Who will have it first?

    DEWALT Radio

i wouldnt say negligible. there is no bass in the dcr radio. i was so dissappointed that i returned it, because i didnt really need another charger or 3 way. lol
  7. dewalt is always coming out with different combinations of bit sets. they for the most part use the same style cases, with the horrible inserts that makes it a pain to re-insert bits. they lay them out to look pretty in packaging, but they suck to use. i actually bought some milwaukee shockwave bit sets, and the cases alone are worth buying them for. easy to remove and install bits. sorry, but i;m a bit anal about bits, and hate them being disorganized. pic i found online showing how the bits pivot out.
  8. you caulk nail holes? that shrinks and leaves divots.
  9. take my money already. where can i buy this?
  10. havent these been out for a while? see these at a local store.

    DeWALT

Honestly you're putting too much thought in a shirt. It won't get you business or anything like that. Best to just list your company name and what you do.
  12. Grinder can cause rust on panel edge. If you're doing mostly straight cuts, get a shear cutter.
  13. where did you read that? is that trim nails? framing nails?? this compressor is really cool, but i'm trying to think what i could use it for besides filling a tire....theres cordless of most types of nailers now.....

    New battery?

not sure who would pay that much for 3.0ah when you can buy 5.0ah for same price, or way less if you buy on ebay.

one thing i really dont like is the hook. i always have my paslode hanging on my hammer loop. with the dewalt, i need to turn the nailer around to hang off my right side. really sucks.

Some areas of the US require full head nails for better pull out resistance. Usually coastal areas
  17. usually use 16ga on door frame and 18ga on all standard trim. 16ga on thicker and heavier trim did a lot of prefinished trim in multifamilies before and we'd use 18ga for everything because we didnt fill the nail holes, so we had to have small nail holes.

Why are they so strict with the nails? Are you near the coast? Get a lot of wind there? Sounds like something I'd hear from Florida near the coast.
  19. I've always used 16ga and 18ga for trim. I've tried the Dewalt dcn660 16ga cordless nailer and it's ok. But now I see Dewalt is coming out with the dcn650 15ga nailer. And this nailer has a nice smaller contact tip. So besides a slightly larger hole, any disadvantages to going with a 15ga nailer? Seems the 15ga nails are cheaper too.
  20. Speaking about rigid, my electrician bought a rigid cordless set a while ago because they advertised lifetime warranty on batteries. He went to home depot to get replacement batteries to find out those batteries weren't made any more. And couldn't be bought online. He raised a stink and got all his money back years later. Lol
