  1. Woah! Yeah, I guess I didn't realize they were coming out with this! I saw the 36v worm drive that they came out with, but didn't realize they were going with the track saw too. Interesting. FB82
  2. Assuming they come with a 2,0 battery, this is a pretty good deal. Roughly $170.00 off their original price.
  3. Don't get me wrong, I think for most of us buying one battery platform is most conducive for our hard earned money.... however, there have been plenty of times in my life where I just need to have something. My basic platform has been Milwaukee, but I also have gotten into some Ryobi, Makita and DeWalt. I guess the simple question to me is do I want just one platform? Or do I want the best that each company has to offer for a particular tool? Sawzall (18v) maybe go with a fuel Milwaukee, Drill/Driver - maybe a DeWalt, Cordless Jigsaw maybe Makita, etc. Lastly, this isn't something that is going to end in my opinion, brands are always going to be slow releasing tools and coming out with new and improved stuff, plus some brands are ergonomically designed for particular trades, so it's highly unlikely that you will have top of the line tools with everything you buy from one particular brand.
  4. They do look nice, I might have to make a pit stop at Lowes and check them out! Thanks for the info.
  5. Honestly, that's the name of the game... and it's not for everyone. Like the job is a lot more cleaning, making temp barriers, PR work, etc. than actual "building". The new construction was fun, but the remodel stinks. It is a constant battle dealing with the hospital and their schedule.
  6. We remodel lots of hospitals, it more than pays for itself with the overhead drilling. Plus, since you have to keep hospitals clean at all times, it really pays for itself, if that makes sense.
  7. Oh snap! Yeah, I was not aware of that, obviously. Thanks for the videos, very informative.
  8. @rrich1 What are you planning to make with the boards? If you don't mind me asking?
  9. Thanks for the videos, good work! I have seen the hybrid impact (Lowes?) and it seems like a pretty good idea. I guess the first thing that comes to mind for me is someone who might be working on a dock or building decks? Using a true hex lag screw and the ability to switch over to a t-25, PH2, etc. Also, their light seems to be very bright, which is cool. Thanks, FB82

Touche', sir. I couldn't agree more. Cool that they have that option, however, I would just rather go with a platform that has multiple tools, amps, etc. Not saying this system will be bad, but Ryobi has 70+ tools in their system... all at a reasonable price.
  11. I agree... I have not heard too much about Metabo in a negative light at all. To be honest, the few people I know that run that line just love it.
  12. That's an awesome tote... if you don't mine me asking, what brand is it?
  13. Yeah, that seems to be the consensus among this particular forum. I have seen them quite a bit on here.
  14. For what I would be using it for it probably won't make a difference. All my actual "finish" work I would use a smaller nail. It might make a difference on a door jamb, but you can still set the nail. I'll take my odds, my porter cable leaves marks too. With that, you seem to be right, the reviews on the 15 are way better than the others from what I have seen!
  15. Touché, sir. Their videos in comparing the size and power were ridiculous. I'll be excited to get a set!
  16. Well awesome. At least my garage isn't the only one with a monthly cleaning schedule.....
  17. For $239.00? And a 2.0 battery? Does this seem decent? I have not used their finish nailer, only their 18g.

I agree, those batteries look identical
  19. Cool thanks. Pretty expensive?
  20. Does anyone have an opinion or suggestion on bolt cutters? I don't need anything too crazy, but I am looking to add something for my toolbox on my truck. I hear Ridgid is good, but I figured I'd get some additional information prior to making a purchase. Thanks, FB82
  21. It's tough to find, I have only seen it at one distributor where I live.
  22. I have tekton for my impact sockets and a few rackets. I like the brand, personally. They have help up fine for me and the cost is reasonable for what I want to spend.
  23. It's funny, because I have the 12v fuel drill and impact already.... yet I watched those videos online of the second generation coming out and my mind did the following: "more power, you need to get it". FB82
