  1. Yeah, I got the email too. Slightly concerning, as there are two sitting in my weatherguard as we speak. Hmm....
  2. Don't worry about it freezing in the winter... since it's your dream shop you will have a thermostat set at 66 degrees so you wont have to worry about anything freezing.
  3. I ended up going with the 75 piece Gearwrench set. It is SAE and metric. Thanks for the input. FB82
  4. Yesterday evening I bought a 75 piece metric and SAE tap and die set made by Gearwrench. From others on the forum, they seem to think for the $ it is a good set, we shall see.
  5. Agree with the two posts above me. If I am in the yellow line, I would probably just get the flexvolt and be done with it. For the most part, has anyone ever complained about too much power? Also, you're still getting a 6.0 or 9.0 battery with it... which you can run with your 20v lineup. No brainer, in my opinion.
  6. I have the one key on my 1/4" impact... and to be honest, I have not really used it much yet. I use my three settings, but I have not found an application where I need to create my own settings, opposed to the factory ones.
  7. Thanks for the input. It's not like I am going to be using it everyday.... I would just like to have something that I wont have to buy again. Thanks for your input. FB82
  8. Thanks! Yeah, I know just enough to be dangerous in terms of quality of sets. I know a guy who sells SK in town, but I also think he has some gearwrench on his truck, so I will have to ask him. Thanks for your response.
  9. I have a small Irwin tap set, but I am looking to upgrade to something a little bit bigger. I'm not too worried about price, as I know most set are expensive. I like tekton stuff... and I have also seen that Bosch makes a large set too. If anyone has any input it would be appreciated.
  10. Hmmmm. Yeah, that will be interesting. With that, I will be curious to see what the price will be?
  11. That's really cool. We have a few shops where I live as well. Looks like you have a lot on your plate!
  12. Woah! That looks like a major improvement in their 20V line. I'll be curious to see how it runs.
  13. I agree. The only thing I will say is that if I am stuck on a decision I normally go with the m18 version. However, if it is not something you are going to use on a daily basis the M12 will do.
  14. I have both personally. I think there are advantages to both. On the site I tend to have multi bit, as I never know what I am going to get in to. In the shop I have screwdrivers everywhere. I don't really think you can go wrong either way, more of a preference and depends on what trade you're in.
  15. With the current employment that I have we have to clean any project once we are done at the end of the day. With that, every Thursday afternoon the entire site (including all subs) have to clean and pick up the building from 1:30 to the end of the day. I actually think this helps in having a neat jobsite.
  16. Hmmm. interesting. I have a few Ryobi things, I'll be curious to see some more reviews on it and how people actually like it. Hopefully all of the ergonomics are well thought out.
  17. Woah! Yeah, that's a smoking deal. good lord. I don't even need another miter saw and I would have picked that up.
  18. We have a few of the flex volt recip saws. They are nice, you will like them.
  19. I personally do. I think it is a good thing for your "construction" portfolio. I usually keep a few photos, print and some specs on each project. Not only for my personal use, but also for the opportunity to advance myself with future work.
  20. First, I have heard that they do not read plumb or level very consistently. I have watched a few videos showing the level being messed up at the vial. I hope that it was just something that was minor in production, but just watching a few videos on that makes me skeptical on their performance. I guess for the same price I would rather just get a stabila, which is a lifetime warranty.
  21. That looks awesome, lots of space!!
  22. Well, I got to use my most favorite tool a caulk gun (sarcasm) to caulk around some exterior mel-rol (flashing). It was a good time, especially since it's 93 degrees and the sun reflects right off the curtain wall into your face. With that, I also used a puddy knife and a jab saw. On a side note, it literally all pays the same. FB82
  23. FYI, I went on Milwaukee's site and complained about the light with my 9.0. The emailed me back a few hours later and told me to take it to my local Milwaukee dealer to put the new handle on free of charge. Thanks for the input, it was much appreciated
  24. I'm with you there. It's not like I am going to host a dance party with it... it is just for having in the garage at I am tinkering with something or in the yard messing around.
  25. am Yeah, it was pretty basic for a radio. I know they came out with something recently.... which I am pretty sure runs off m12 or m18. Not sure if the sound quality on that is similar? Or has improved?
