  1. @JMG, That is an outrageous find. I am similar to @bmack37... I don't really do much drywall, but that price is too good to pass up. Congrats.
  2. @midogrumpy, thanks! I will keep my eye out.
  3. With the run time, is the flexvolt acting as a 60v tool with a 2.0 or a 20v with a 6.0? Or is it irrelevant?
  4. @77Ford whats the run time on it? Also, you wan to have four batteries that are fully charged correct? So if one ends up dead then the whole unit wont work? Or have I been misinformed?
  5. Yeah, for the most part it seems that everyone who has one likes it.
  6. These Home Depot deals make me sick. I would never be so lucky to see Miter Saws at 50% off or nail guns 66% off. Good finds, fellas!
  7. I saw that on Home Depot the DCB1800M3T1 (portable power station) is $499.99 with a flex volt and three 20v batteries. Seemed like a good deal to me... anyways, does anyone have one that can give some advice on the unit? I saw the rep run one and I thought it looked pretty handy, but she naturally is going to say all of the positives. Any feedback would be great. Thanks, FB82

    METABO

@dwain for runtime they have the best batteries? 5.0? I don't know too much about them, I just see all the videos like everyone else, for the most part.
  9. @AnonymousJoe Didn't know that, thanks for the input. After reading the info on it "Self tapping screw mode" is clearly stated. Thanks.
  10. They surprise me on a regular basis. Hey have deals on sweet tools... then they have what I would cal average stuff that is more expensive? Makes no sense lol.
  11. I guess I can't speak for every brand, but Milwaukee's second generation Fuel impact (non one key) has three settings and drill mode.
  12. Give it the onion, go with three and don't mess around! In all seriousness, it depends what you're drilling in and if its a finished product or not. Something to think about... if I am drilling and make a mistake will anyone be able to see it? Drilling holes in backing... go with a three. Drilling pilot holes for exposed wood... maybe a two.
  13. So this subcompact Hdrill is going to be similar in size to the M12 fuel? With more power, obviously.
  14. I have mixed views on this one... as I tend to go old school and use my actual drill for drilling operations and my impact for driving operations, if that makes sense. Not sure if there is a study done, but I just think it is hard on your bits and what not when you are using an impact. Most of the impacts have a drill mode, but I still normally use my drill. However, there is something to be said about not having to loosen and tighten the chuck when you want to drill... which is when the impact comes into play. I realize this didn't directly answer your question, but this is what I do personally. Also, welcome to the forums. @natbea09 FB82
  15. I have used them as well... and I am almost positive Bosch is the one who manufactured it. It worked great, other than the price (which all multi tool accessories are expensive). I got it at a Home Depot way out west. http://www.homedepot.com/s/carbiide%20multi%20tool?NCNI-5

    DeWALT

As long as you're not going to make a profit on them, I can't see it being a big deal. I think the big players in the clothing market have bigger fish to fry than a contractor handing out sweatshirts to his employees.
  17. Yeah, I have heard good things about the DeWALT finish nailer too.
  18. Note: The local toolshop dropped off the 15g today for use. The big wig is going to take it home and mess around with it tonight... he is very picky with his nailers and is a diehard paslode guy, so it will be interesting to see how he likes it. I'll post his thoughts and opinions on the tool.
  19. Yeah, the more I think about it... the more likely I would probably go with some sort of Leatherman or multi tool. Without exaggeration, I use mine every single day. It would be a good buy that anyone would appreciate receiving.
  20. @Biggie I have not heard anything about a mid torque, but I would assume that they would come out with something that is a little smaller, similar to what Milwaukee did earlier this year.
  21. Not good at the moment, however, that is about to change (hopefully) in September. They have a few storage boxes and screw containers. Nothing special.
  22. @BMack37 Concur. My 6 bay rapid charger is hanging on the wall in my garage... which works better for me as it won't take up space on my measly work bench. Also, completely agree on the M12 lineup. Used pretty much every tool I owned on a house I flipped last spring... with the majority of them being M12. Impact, drill, hammer drill, hackzall, rotary tool, light, speaker, etc.. So light and handy to use.
  23. @Jronman I can't speak for individuals, but from a company standpoint... the messier the site/conditions, the more issues that site will have. That's the track record I have seen in my profession anyways. Totally agree though, disorganization is being lazy, in my opinion.
  24. So weird to me. I know Bosch makes high quality stuff... but how many things do they have in their cordless lineup? Is it more than 10? I'm sure it is, but there are times where I feel like they are holding their buyers hostage. They make quality stuff and the research is excellent, but they are so slow for new adaptations and tools. Woof.
