overanalyze
Backwards compatible is huge!!! Looks like my wallet will be lighter very soon....!!! If they also have a power adapter that would be killer as well. The best of both worlds. I wonder if they will have new cordless dust extractors too... Radio can run off of either. The saw will only run the new batteries. The stud drill will only run 60v batteries. The hammer drill and impact driver are just the 996 and 887 in a kit with the new battery. They are 20v compatible and always will be. Grinder: 60v only. Recip saw: 60v only Table saw: 60v only Light: 20v or 60v

KnarlyCarl
These prices are actually pretty damned agreeable especially compared to waukee. Kudos DeWalt. I wonder if Acme was early on the trigger or DeWalt buggered up the date on the NDA with Acme. Yeah they are! I bet if the prices were 25% more, people would still pay for them, these are very competitively priced Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
Craigh9916
I wonder if the new 60v battery will up the power slightly on the 20v tools at all ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
overanalyze
If this is just the tip I can't wait to see the rest! It would have been nice if the new tools would work off the 20v batts as well just in case you are waiting on the 60v to charge and you just need to make one or two quick cuts. Either way being able to use the batts in the 20v tools is great.
overanalyze
I just noticed the dust hood on the top of the blade guard on the table saw. That is a nice feature a lot of other saws seem to leave off.
KnarlyCarl
Haha and at Milwaukee's product event, they were explaining how unnecessary it is to have multiple voltages over just the 18v. I'm grinning at the ridiculous attempt that was made to keep everything under wraps but now Acme jumped the gun haha Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

Marcv76
I'm just glad we can finally talk about stuff, I can't wait to see the cordless 10 or 12" miter saw in action, if it is to be released at the same time.

If not then the media dept at Dewalt is going haywire right now..lol!! This is the problem with these releases. We get our pee pee slapped if something comes out early unapproved from the manufacturer. Then they release on their own channel, teasers. I totally get that Dewalt has done all of the R&D, they have come out with new products, they have invested I'm sure millions of dollars, they want to pop the news out. I hope Acme didn't screw up. I can't imagine they did, I mean Dewalt released info in Europe. It's hard to figure out what they want us to do here if they release the info. All I can say is I am griping ear to ear. Dewalt doesn't release their tools regularly but I am certain it's because of the R&D they put into their products, coming out with proven winners, constantly. I'm stoked about these new tools, I just wish they had a friggin Brad released!!!!!!! Anyways, I'm posting mine up in the for sale section. Daddy needs a new recip!!!!!
