Mr. Yellow
I hope these will enter the EU market soon as I am in need of a pair of decent work stands. Also I like how you can use the tracksaw clamps with this stand
kanxrus
The clamps are designed to slide inside the rail on the bottom of the track. The clamp can then secure itself to whatever surface that's underneath, pending it has an edge.
Mr. Yellow
I know, but I've seen a picture of this new work stand together with the clamp. However I cannot locate that picture anymore. That little rectangular hole on the side, that's where you slide in the part of the clamp that also slides in the bottom of the track, so you can clamp anything down to the stand. You are correct sir!! The track saw clamps to lock into that whole, allowing you to use the padded part on your material.

RickyMcGrath
I wonder if I could rig up a way to attach my Dewalt 7480 table saw to these stands. Is that the DWE7480? You can cut a piece of 3/4 ply to fit the bottom of the saw, use the brackets and carriage bolt them the the ply. It works great. I did it before I got the rolling stand followed by the 741RS. It becomes quick release and you can still set the saw on a table or workbench if need be. It also puts the saw up nice and high. Which I liked because I'm 6'

RickyMcGrath
How did you secure the plywood to the bottom of the saw. Awesome ideaThere are four holes on the bottom that I used ~2" screws to secure it. They're drilled at an angle. Maybe 45 degrees? It held great! That's why I say 3/4" plywood, to give you enough material to attach to.
gowings
I was wondering if you used those angled holes in some way.
Kenneth Denmark
In EU when you buy the dwe74911 (table for dwe7491) you get a peace to mount the dw745.. We dont have the dwe7480 EU but i supose it is the new version of the dw745http://service.dewalt.co.uk/Products/Documents.aspx?ProductID=10003&DocumentID=43926&BOMRegionID=
chadlanthier
I think that the set of mounting brackets that come with the stand, can be used for a number of tools.
chadlanthier
I planned on using these to make a portable work stand.
JoshMurrah
I bought two of these... one of the bracket sets I got, I used for a miter, the other set, I used to mount a bench vise and chainsaw sharpener onto, so that I didn't permenantly mount anything to my benches, to keep them tidy and keep the dust off them when I'm grinding mower blades or such.
