Downshftking
Ok now people I know everyone here is into tools BUT I know there is a feud going on!!! I wanna know what is the best in cordless drills and who makes the best!!! Dewalt or Milwaukee???!!!
BMack37
In my opinon Milwaukee...but realistically, it depends on the item and your preference. Milwaukee generally has better torque than the equivalent Dewalt but it's normally by a negligible amount. The one thing Dewalt SMOKES Milwaukee on is bits, Milwaukee bits are garbage. DR99
If you want the best best as much as it pains me the brushless Makita seems to be the best right now. If your just looking at just Dewalt or Milwaukee the Gen2 Fuel Milwaukee is defiantly the better drill now. Bmack is also right the first gen shockwave bits were pretty bad too. I would like to see how the new Shockwave bits hold up though. You really can't go wrong with any of the brands just choose one that has the tools you want in it is the big thing I would stress over name and color. jeffmcmillan
To put it nicely, Dewalt is taking their time with high power brushless tools. It's a bit of a tossup between Milwaukee and Makita for most powerful drill, but they both leave Dewalt in the dust.
Logan
I'm a Dewalt guy but as of right now I think it would be the Milwaukee gen

JimboS1ice
I like the 3 speeds of my Dewalt drill but milwaukee impacts are beasts.JimboSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
comp56
truth be told they will all do the trick, when will you not be able to drill something because you lack a couple inch pounds of torque......

Downshftking
I have all dewalt and my bro n law loves dewalt but he said that the new brushless Milwaukee impacts are beastly and they last a long time on a single charge compared to dewalt!! Is it different bits your talking of, back to wera for meThe best dewalt bits are the max fits, I've only seen them at HD, the flex torsion ones I got at lowes are barely worth the plastic they came in, they don't fit very well, remind me of shockwave, they look like them to.JimboSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Craigh9916
Well I'm only going on the ones we get in the UK which are The new Dewalt extreme ones but they are the same as the flextorq you get in the U.S. But we can't get the max fit ones either way they batter the Milwaukee ones ! Craigh9916
Maybe but Ive only been using the 50mm ph2 bits and they last and are great fit and maybe the pz2 bits aren't as good ? I will try the new shockwaves when they are released in the UK as they look good and hopefully they are priced the same as the older ones as in the UK you can't knock the price just shame about the sloppy fit Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jeffmcmillan
The only benefit of the original shockwave bits is they're too soft to really strip out screws. The worst is jobsites that provide shockwave bits. I've heard mixed reviews about the new shockwaves, but I'm hesitant to try them when even the teeth on milwaukee pliers are soft. NicholasShetley
I just bought a few of the new shockwave bits and they seem to fit very well. I never used the old shockwave bits so I can't compare them. I'll try and let you guys know how they hold up.
Bigmikez
Let us know how u like those bits Nicholas. And as far as who's better milwaukee and Dewalt? I think they both are that's why I own both best of both worlds!! Don't get me wrong if I get the chance to add any other brands like makita,Bosch, metabo or even some of those snotty tools from festool I won't hesitate to at all.
