JerryNY
The photos are sill of the old corded model but the specs are the M18 model so hopefully this means the saw will be for sale soon... http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-18-Volt-FUEL-Lithium-Ion-Cordless-Brushless-10-in-Dual-Bevel-Sliding-Compound-Miter-Saw-Kit-2734-21HDP/207114512 Also it lists $699 as the kit price. It would suck if they decided to raise the price a bit but who knows.
Daniel Julian
Kind of funny, because all of the pics are of a corded model.
JerryNY
Yeah I almost didn't notice it because of the photos but the caption said m18 fuel and the description is all the fuel too. I think it's pretty preliminary because there appears to be some typos or possible inaccuracies, it says two batteries in the specs. That would be cool for $699 and TWO 9 amp batts but I'm not holding my breath that that's not a mistake...

The model ends in -21, so I'm pretty sure it's just a 1 battery kit.
Logan
I've used the corded model and it's a pretty nice miter

Bremon
Gotta say I am definitely looking forward to this. Trying to convince myself I don't need two miter saws but I tried to convince myself of that with drills... Impacts... Circular saws... Sigh. If HD's weights are to be believed then the FlexVolt is 11 lbs heavier than Fuel.
JerryNY
Well it's a 12" saw so I'd expect it would most likely be heavier than the 10" Milwaukee...
Bremon
Naturally; just comparing portability on cordless miters for anyone who's curious. Actually HD site and Dewalt site differ. Dewalt lists the miter at 44 lbs. A product page for the M18 would be nice for comparisons sake.

JerryNY
Yeah it's been gone for almost a week I think. They either jumped the gun or needed to revise it and put up actual photos.
JimboS1ice
sounds like a combination of both lol
Bremon
Details are up on the Milwaukee site for the Fuel mitre. 45lbs. Some short videos on Instagram etc. looking pretty impressive.
JimboS1ice
They definitely took the portability route for things
Bremon
Kruger construction Instagram claims 43 lb weight for M18 Fuel Mitre and 60 lbs for the sliding FlexVolt.
Bremon
That's without a battery.
JimboS1ice
The fuel is much lighter than the flex volt, but the flex volt is pretty much the corded model as wellJimboSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bremon
That's what makes them both so appealing. They target different niches. Makes me want both

Bremon
Exactly. Gets out of hand quick.
JerryNY
Dewalt only makes the flexvolt in 12" right. It's listed on Home Depot at 73.33 lbs. It does like a great 12" and battery or mains makes for a versatile tool but the 10" Fuel seems like a great portable saw with just one battery to lug around and significantly lighter to boot. Bremon
Yep, just the 12".
Bremon
Mid-October release date from Canadian suppliers. The kit with a 9.0 is $900. The FlexVolt kit with 2 batteries and plug is $1100 and can be found with a stand thrown in... Milwaukee's pricing model is really frustrating me lately.
