in Canada or in the province of Ontario we also have what they call SCOP Scanning Code of Practice:A little secret that a lot of shoppers do not know about is something called “SCOP”. The Scanning Code of Practice (SCOP) is a promise from the retailer to their customers that there will be accurate scanning at the register on all Universal Product Codes (UPCs).SCOP is a scanning code that almost every major retailer in Canada abides by. It essentially means “the price we have listed on our shelves will be the price that rings up at the register”.If the product scans in at a price HIGHER than the price listed on the shelf, the customer is entitled to receive the item free, up to a $10 maximum (customer will receive $10 off when the item costs $10 or more).SCOP does not include pharmacy related productsThe Scanning Code of Practice is endorsed by the Competition Bureau of Canada and was created from the collaborative efforts of the Retail Council of Canada, the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores, the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers and the Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors.

Have you ever used it Comp? Sounds like your retailers have it together.

That's really interesting. I wonder if there is an official US code. I've never paid more than what it's listed for on the shelf, they've always honored that price but I think that's all they're obligated to do. Looks like I have some research to do.

yes many times I have a bad habit of checking clearance items to make sure they are scanning right, depending what it is if it on clearance for over $10 you will get $10 off on top of clearance if it is on clearance for less than $9.99 you will pay 1 cent so for example on the receipt the item was $29.97 regular and clearance tag said $9.97 so when I got to register it still rang in at regular price all ya have to say is oh...does that fall under SCOP...and they give it to you for the penny.. I bought 4 packages of Diablo sawzall blades that were $29.97 for 4 cents because they showed on clearance for $8.97 and scanned regular, buddy gave all four to me.....should have grabbed all of them...lol didn't know there are 2 items on that receipt actually

Wish we had something like that however at the store I work at, jewel Osco, we used to have scan price guarantee where if it wasn't the scanned price they got it free, well it got abused and away it went.

A couple good deals on reconditioned tools showed up.  I have the multitool and it has a lot of power with very minimal vibration.  I'm trying to think of a reason to buy the bosch laser

Looks like those two deals were already eaten up.  Hope it was some of you guys but it saved me $80.

They also just dropped some prices on M12 kits with a free M12 ratchet.  Fuel hammer drill and ratchet is $179, fuel impact wrench and ratchet is $199, and fuel hammer drill, fuel impact driver and a ratchet is $269.

Not the greatest deals but if you're already looking at those the price drop should help with the decision.

Yeah, they've got a lot of M12 drills or impacts or drivers paired with others like the right angle drill, ratchet, hackzall, really nice prices, I didn't get these breaks when I bought my M12 tools

Yeah they have some great M12 deals.  Looks like they're lowering the prices right now though so if you keep track of some and are willing to risk the deal ending or selling out you can probably save some more.

2x Ridgid 4Ah pack is down to $80 (keep in mind these don't carry the LSA) and Gen5x impact kit is down to $60.

It's not available online but the Ryobi impact kit is down to $30.  That might be worth it just to have a spare if you see one in the store.
