  1. did they give you an extra discount for being on backorder? I would think it should be the least they can do considering its been weeks after the scheduled release date.
  2. gernerally speaking the SawStop and Reaxx are different kinds of saws. Reaxx is job site saw and SawStop in many cases reffers to one of their cabinet grade models. Maybe not their job site saw? I wonder if many companies secretly are making their own flesh sensing saw but wont release until SawStop stops suing companies. I seen something a while back that wasn't a tablesaw with flesh sensing tech but more an attachment to the top of the saw with flesh sensing tech. It wasn't technically part of the saw just an attachment on top. I wonder if its still around or if SawStop has stopped it from being built.
  3. Im gonna keep my circular saw order because I utilized the free tool deal and would like to keep the free tool. Also I'm thinking about selling the circular saw if I decided I would need the tracksaw more than the circular. I wish I had the option for a tracksaw now but I don't know how useful it would be on the jobsite for house building. Would be more interested in using it for furniture as something to cut sheet material because I don't have the budget or space for a cabinet grade tablesaw. Would also make for easy accurate cuts for large solid wood tops that have uneven edges from joining wood together.
  4. kinda curious why the Fuel is similarly priced to the Flexvolt. Its got only a 10 inch blade, single battery, and no option for corded. Would think it should be a couple hundred dollars lower. The bevel lock for the Fuel is pretty cool.
  5. isn't there a law that doesn't allow monopolies anymore or something similar? Sawstop may claim that other tool companies are the ones putting people in harm because they wont use sawstops system but I think its sawstop themselves causing more harm than the other tool companies. I say this because sawstop wants tool companies to have finger sensing brakes but wont allow them to make their own designs.
  6. I really want a track saw but in north America it is not offered yet as far as I know. I haven't even seen options to switch out the baseplate.
  7. considering buying a dewalt 20v multitool, 20v brushless planer, and heated jacket. Gonna wait a bit though.
  8. so is this thing one huge battery or is it like DeWalt's where you connect batteries to it.
  9. never used this before. Not sure if there is a fix. Does it work on impacts or only drywall guns?
  10. Was wondering if anyone has a tool not specifically designed for furniture making but unexpectedly turned out to be great for furniture?
  11. oh really? I did not know that. Should we say it hailed then?
  12. Milwaukee sometimes has decent deals on batteries but at their normal price they seem quite high for a battery.

use the extreme ultra super vacuum picker upper 6000 will get every last particle of sawdust. Except it might vacuum up the saw as well.
  14. I originally looked at the DeWalt because I already had a 20v drill and impact but when I thought more about it the way DeWalt did the on/off as a variable speed trigger instead of a switch seemed like a smart move. The blade change system is one of the best and quickest but not every blade is compatible which is a flaw. Also I didnt know this till just recently but turns out you can lock on the DeWalt version which is nice especially for long cuts or awkward cuts
  15. that moment when the delivery guy leaves tool outside and it pours rain.
  16. nice tool. Been wanting to get this one but not sure how much I would use something like this yet. I'm just out of construction school so I still do a lot of the demo, unwanted, and cleanup jobs. Don't use many powered tools yet. Might try to do some personal projects though. Also purchased some flexvolt stuff cause of the free tool deal. How well would this work for furniture making?
  17. I had the opportunity to use SawStop at school and I felt the fence wasn't as accurate as I would expect from a premium saw. When the fence would lock it would move a bit on the back end of the saw. A common issue with tablesaw but I would not have expected it to happen with something as expensive as a SawStop. It did do a good job at cutting though. Never used a Powermatic or Laguna before.
  18. I heard the dewalt 790 isn't just a 780 without the cord. I heard the performance is better than the 780.
  19. factory authorized told me expect shipments end of september to into october. Not too bad considering they told me flexvolt is on backorder.
  20. started designing a tool holder in solidworks to 3d print. started with one for my hammerdrill. gonna design others as well. Ima try to work on one for my impact driver and flexvolt saw. I might even try to build something for my flexvolt recip and maybe some kind of deal to hold chargers and batteries. also might try something that stores bits or bit cases.
  21. would be nice to get some new tough boxes. Im not sure how durable/strong the plastic side latches are to connect boxes together but maybe a tough box with metal side latches would be nice. Would also like to see more inserts to aid in tool organization. Seen something in one of milwaukee's rolling tool chest drawers and it had an angled deal in the back with notches in it and you could put your tools in the notch and the tools would stay organized. Would need a bit of adjusting for a tough box because tough boxes move around more. It would be nice because instead of getting your tough box with a pile of bare tools inside you would have them neatly lined up inside the box. Another idea I had was make a tough box with a weatherproof opening in the back so charger cables can pass through and have an insert that could securely hold your chargers. Would make for safer overnight charging if the batteries are left at the job site.
  22. my closest home depot has no sign of flexvolt. not even a section where flexvolt could go. seems a bit strange that theres not even spaces where out of stock flexvolt used to be. Hopefully factory authorized will ship soon. ordered a good 2 weeks ago.
