  1. oh wow. I didn't even notice the el camino the first time seeing the pictures. The el camino workbench
  2. cool. was it hard to turn? I have never turned before.
  3. @rrmccabe nice table. did I see behind the router setup a downdraft table?
  4. looks great @Foneguy. What kind of wood did you use?
  5. Nice trailer @regopit. What you planning on doing on the inside? You gonna do any mods to it? I think someone could easily buy a flat bed trailer then outfit it like the tool trailer. Another thing to mention is the tool trailer sides open up which provide shade to tools and therefore when its a hot summer day your tools will keep cool enough to touch.
  6. apparently there is a harbor freight 45 mins away from me. closest one around. Never been to one before.
  7. I agree the transmission selector isn't very good but the fact that it has 3 speeds is very nice. I wonder why other companies don't have 3 speed transmissions.
  8. Both are great systems. Makita x2 is a bit less powerful an less efficient than Flexvolt but you also have access to Makita's huge line of 18v tools. x2 requires 2 batteries but because they are just standard 18v batteries they won't add extra bulk when used with 18v tools. It also means you need to have at least 2 batteries charged because each x2 tool takes 2 batteries. DeWALT Flexvolt is the clear winner in terms of power. When under load it powers through just about anything a corded tool can. The battery is large and will add extra weight and bulk to a 20v tool. Except for the miter saws, all Flexvolt tools only require one battery. Flexvolt batteries work on 20v tools but 20v batteries will not work on Flexvolt tools. Another advantage to Flexvolt is all the Flexvolt tools are brushless. Makita may have the slight edge over Flexvolt but with wave 2 Flexvolt approaching we may see otherwise.
  9. new tools you say? Do you happen to know what any of the new tools are?
  10. all they need is a slide mechanism similar to batteries but with less play and is stronger. Wouldn't be too hard to implement except would be expensive. I find batteries may be secure but tend to be a bit loose when connected to a tool.
  11. How does the Bosch compare to the DeWALT? I thought the Bosch looked really nice. I didn't realize it didn't take tool batteries. The self leveling feature seemed like a nice feature.
  12. so nice that it don't twist your arm off
  13. Are my eyes playing tricks or did Jimbo say a DeWALT drill? I was surprised to not see the gen 3 fuel listed. I would have to say my dcd996 but that the only brushless drill I have owned.
  14. Not sure I have seen that style of barn with that good of siding or roof before. Good Job
  15. could get a laser shovel with anti-grav technology.
  16. the first wormdrive saw to not be a worm drive
  17. Curious as to why the 130 is cheaper than the 100 considering its a bit bigger and has the lid compartments.
  18. Hmm tools with translucent plastic would be cool.
  19. Of the small storage containers that come with either the ds130 or the Ridgid box, which do you like better? You got 40 of the Milwaukee boxes?
  20. Did you notice the Festool?
  21. what is the circular section the looks like a fan blade for?
  22. For demo it may be a better option to rent a jack hammer. If you have an air chisel or sds hammer drill with a chisel mode those may work as well. You'll wanna make sure you do the perimeter first before you start hammering away.
