  1. back in the day when tools were made of grey metal. No plastic allowed.
  2. I seen there was another company that was using Milwaukee batteries. I like how smaller companies are using batteries from tried and true platforms instead of making their own proprietary batteries. I can't wait until batteries become standardized. Would be nice to use dewalt batteries on makita tools, makita batteries on milwaukee tools, an so on.
  3. @Moze grats on the work van. Cleanest work van I have ever seen. Also those organizers look nice.
  4. possibly this video? it's on his offcuts channel.
  5. well in one of his friday live video he talked a bit about his thoughts on them.
  6. here's something I found from a quick google search. It's a UK model. Sorry it is from toolcraze. https://toolcraze.net/dewalt-flexvolt-wet-dry-vacuum-dcv584l/
  7. do they sell the colored ones in NA or Europe markets?
  8. does it have a lever blade release or some other quick release?
  9. oh I thought it was a brushed 2x recip
  10. has a brushless x2 recip come out yet?
  11. didn't he use the flexvolt with the ridgeline projects? I thought I remember him saying he thought the flexvolt tools were ok but wouldn't use them because its cordless and not as practical in a shop setting than a jobsite. He is fairly unbiased too.
  12. @jackfinzo always, I repeat always clean out your sprayer. Never leave your sprayer dirty. That's the biggest thing to remember when spraying and arguably the most important. If you don't remember anything I tell you make sure to remember to clean out the sprayer. A dirty sprayer doesn't spray as well or even doesn't spray at all. The way I was told to clean em at school was with mineral spirits. Just spray some through the gun and also wipe the gun off as well. If the build up gets too much you may have to run it through a special gun cleaner. Another thing to watch out for is runs. If you get runs you may need to brush em out. You'll also wanna make sure and remove all the air in the container holding the finish or paint before spraying. This is also a good test to ensure the gun has a good vacuum seal to spray the finish. I hope this helps.
  13. anything he gets for review or a plug he specifically says so. So of the stuff he gets is just to get. No company promotion involved. I dont mind that he is venturing away from festool and powermatic.
  14. he has a makita miter saw now

  16. a ridgid drill maybe a gen 4 brushed.
  17. The planer does a good job at smoothing. Not easy to square up the board though.
  18. I heard a rumor of a 120 cordless vac. Might've been for Europe. I hope NA would would get something like this if Europe gets one. I hope they can get it to have the feature for when the tool powers on it powers on as well.
  19. Back when I had used a daredevil spade bit I had no issues with the self feed portion. It worked great. Far as I know it had been used quite a bit.
  20. I suggest you do not get the Milwaukee saw because I heard the quality of the saw is not up to par of what is expected from Milwaukee.
  21. @joemontague would you rather have a tool with 2 small batteries on it or one big battery on it? Not much else to look at. Both have great power, good runtime, and similar features.
  22. wish they got better mpg
