  1. I just use my knife for general home building, opening boxes, etc.
  2. My first utility knife was a cheap one with a screw from Menards and after I opened it up the first time it never really worked the same. Always seemed to not work very good. I eventually had it and got a quick change one.
  3. I like mine. The quick access blade storage and quick blade change are nice. Not a big fan of the ones that require unscrewing a screw to access or change blades.
  4. Anyone use these Stanley carbide utility blades. Are they worth it? 16 bux for a 50 pack off of Amazon. http://www.stanleytools.com/en-us/products/hand-tools/knives-blades/replacement-blades/50-pk-fatmax-carbide-utility-blades/11-800l
  5. I just use a Stanley twin blade utility knife. got my straight on one side and my hook on the other.
  6. Rambo is a good quality action movie
  7. make sure the saw is square and make sure 45's are actually 45. I would check your blade to see if it would be a good option for trim work. Somthing that is good at both ripping and crosscuts should be plenty. If the miters have a small gap it may be because the back edge is hitting before the front edge. In this case you may want to place your pencil or a scap piece of trim underneath the piece your cutting to give it a slight bevel to make the front edge hit before the back edge.
  8. I can't remember if Rambo ever threw his knife at anybody. I remember he had a bow with explosive arrows.
  9. same Can't wait to see the final product.
  10. Would be nice when patents run out to see companies come together to make a standardized system that is as safe as SawStop but wont damage the tool like Reaxx. Maybe if enough companies help produce it, they could just use the same system to keep costs down and make repairs and resetting the saw much cheaper.
  11. SawStop is the better saw if you get the cabinet grade saw, but Reaxx has the better safety mechanism. Saw stop uses a brake that is shot at the edge of the blade to instantly stop the blade and at the same time the blade quickly lowers under the table. This works except it not only ruins the blade it also ruins the brake. Your out of a brake and a saw blade. With Reaxx it stops and lowers the blade but the brake mechanism isn't damaging and only needs replaced after 20 or so triggers of the saftey system. The only thing that a user needs to do when resetting the Reaxx is either flip the 2 use air cartridge or replace it.
  12. I got the same 22 oz hammer in both waffle and smooth heads.
  13. Maybe try looking for a used saw if you don't think this is a good option.
  14. Makita sub-compact is a great kit. Has form factor of an 18v, has a multi speed impact, and most importantly is quality. Hard to go wrong with it.
  15. could be something as simple as it detects fingers.
  16. is a flexvolt in the works?
  17. I could see someone listening to some hardcore Mozart or Beethoven in their shop haha
