    junk tools

NPS 2017 Milwaukee Rep announces, "Thank you for joining us today. At Milwaukee our customers have noticed our m18 and m12 tools heat up quickly and we wanted to provide a solution to their problem. We have worked extremely hard this past year and are announcing a new technology called Milwaukee Frost. It is part of our goal to bring disruptive innovation to our products. It is a brand new cooling system we will be implementing in future m12, m18, and m18x2 tool releases. Milwaukee Frost will be the standard in tool cooling technology. Milwaukee Frost actively cools the tool when under extreme load. During testing we have found our tools perform 20% cooler than our other models that do not include Milwaukee Frost technology. Because the tools perform cooler we are able to get 15% more run time with our batteries when paired with a tool that has Milwaukee Frost. In addition to Frost tools we are working on m18 frost and m12 frost batteries. We will divulge more information about these batteries next year. We should be seeing Milwaukee Frost tools starting to release in the next couple months. At only a $20 premium over our previous models we feel Milwaukee Frost is a great buy. That will be all for our presentation. We hope you enjoyed the presentation and hope you will enjoy our other tool releases. Thank you. *energetic music plays* *smoke is dispensed* *Milwaukee rep rides off the stage in style on a Milwaukee red segway*

    and the m28 line
  4. 13k is alot . If I'm not mistaken there is an option for a self feed for the table saw. Sounds like it would save fingers without infringing on Sawstop patents.
  5. well the price of the top of the line models are similarly priced. the highest priced Felder table saw is over $5000 same with Powermatic PM3000. The highest priced PM2000 is a bit above $3000 after a quick double check of prices the Felders were on sale. Normaly go for over $8000.
  6. could make some kind of drill grinder saw thingy if you attach a motor to the rotating portion.
  7. Anyone ever used or heard of Felder? Swiss company I believe. The tools they make look really nice. Mostly cabinet/furniture grade power tools. The table saw looks nice. It has a built in slide which is good for panel work. There is also a planer with digital thickness readout. The most interesting one I saw was a joiner that could also be a planer. If price indicates anything I would say Felder is at least Powermatic quality. Do I go as far as to say highest quality cabinet grade tools on the market?

    Very good point

Very good point about flexvolt and the new battery platform argument. Some say its not a big deal others say it is.
  9. @JohnKitinsky Craftsman is to SB&D as Ridgid is to TTI? Don't both parent companies just own the name rights?
  10. @rrich1 Didn't they have a stick pack 18v track saw? Festool also has a dual battery track saw that can run with either 1 or 2 batteries.
  11. @DrHarry Well for starters no brand is necessarily "bad" each one may have pros and cons. To answer your question I wouldn't buy Black and Decker, Ryobi, or any other "cheap" or "homeowner's" or "diy" brand. They just aren't upto spec with pro brands. I wouldn't go with Milwaukee even thought its a really good brand because their high demand line consists of only 18v tools. High demand tools in my opinion should be at least 36v or 54v tools. Higher voltage is arguably more efficient in high demand situations. I know you said don't suggest what to buy but that AEG brushless set @rbacon705 suggested might be a nice option it has some of what your are looking for in brushless even except I am unaware of a high demand option from AEG. The limited edition design looks awesome if looks means anything to ya. I would pick one brand and stick with it at least for starters then venture to other brands if you see the need.
  12. Generic construction dude asks,"It this one key enabled?" Milwaukee rep explains, " This product is not One Key enabled because that battery does nothing, but with a 6.0 m12 battery you get 4x the coolness factor."
  13. Is there any sweetener free jerky options? If salt and vinegar flavored jerky was a thing I would rate it 10 out of 10. Salt and vinegar makes for one of my favorite wing, nut, and chip flavors.

    2022

went from politics to sawstop patents (answer to what happens in 2022 by the way) to football haha
  15. maybe the red light is one step closer to the tool becoming Milwaukee red?
  16. unless its company branded pens. Then things are always available. One could write for years with all the pens they get for free.
  17. At NPS 2017 Milwaukee announces the m12 fuel snake trap. Milwaukee rep says, "Users have mentioned snakes keep getting into the basement. At Milwaukee we wanted to provide an innovative solution to their problem. We came up with the m12 fuel snake trap. The brand new m12 fuel snake trap catches all the snakes that get into your basement. our model is 10x faster and is 20 times more red than other models. It has been tested by our quality control team and is officially 15x better than the competition." Generic construction dude asks,"what does the battery do?" Milwaukee rep explains, "Well the battery does nothing, but at Milwaukee we thought this product would be so much cooler if it had a battery so we added a battery cause Milwaukee. The addition of the battery caused what we like to call at Milwaukee Disruptive Innovation. We believe the new m12 fuel snake trap provides the user with a solution to a common problem...." ...(30 minutes of explanation later)... "...It will be available in late fall 2019 for $1999.99 usd. One last thing, I am excited to announce the m12 fuel snake trap is brushless. This will be all for our presentation. Thank you for joining us today and we hope you will like this new product."
  18. possibly part of the same shipment and maybe the shipment was defective?
  19. 2 guys at the place I work at got to test out some tools and claimed they tested a Milwaukee miter saw with 2 batteries powering it. That reminds me guys at work are going to a big builders breakfast next week. They should be able to get info about a lot of new tools there.
  20. @HiltiWpg guys at work specifically said they tested a milwaukee dual battery miter saw so i'm guessing it will be a milwaukee saw.
  21. what are the yellow things?
  22. how do the DeWALT trigger clamps compare to the Irwin quick grip?
  23. I was expecting to see a roygbiv of drywall screw colors. haha
  24. Of course, some of the best cabinet grade tools come from Powermatic. How expensive is the Powermatic catalogue?
