  1. who would want to steel it? Its so big that they would need to bring an extra truck just to make sure they have the space for it.
  2. bluetooth is more for the user who needs consistent results every time. For example, a guy putting in 1000 drywall screws or sheet metal screws in one day is gonna want to press trigger completely down and get ideal results for the particular application they are completing. Bluetooth also allows for more specialty modes because as more come out you will be able to update the tool and have access to those modes.
  3. can't go wrong with DeWALT brushless tool design. They look very nice.
  4. Maybe @CATERPILLAR can call up Uncle AvE

If i were a Hitachi guy I would choose the DeWALT no questions asked just for the fact it is sliding. Most sliding saws have a large footprint. That would be their disadvantage when compared to a fixed saw.

    2022

but that is what happens by 2022. Haha
  7. Something like what is on the Makita sub compact impact could work for the display. That sorta flexible material Makita uses for the buttons could be used to cover the lights used for the display. Same or similar material is used for DeWALT battery fuel indicators. Could even shrink the tough system display down.
  8. I would go with a better brand of opener. A quality brand with the app functionality should work well. I am not for sure but I think openers with MyQ work with homekit and other similar services. I could be wrong though. I thought I remember seeing MyQ on multiple brands.

    2022

In 2020 one Sawstop patent will run out in 2022 another will run out. I think it may be the 2 patents used against the Bosch Reaxx possibly used against other companies. I don't know if Sawstop will have any patents in 2022 to stop other companies from making finger saving saws.

@DIYorDie Is your Hitachi a slider? I find sliders much more enjoyable to use than fixed miter saws. The extra power isn't a bad thing just might take some getting used to. As long as you follow proper safety you won't have to be scared of your powerful saw. You would be that much more less likely to have a problem or injury then if you don't follow safety.
  12. My dream saw would be a Powermatic with a router lift. I doubt I'll get one before 2022. I wanna see what happens when the Sawstop patents running out.
  13. For those not interested in Bluetooth tools, what functionality would need to be added to make Bluetooth tools more appealing? A more accurate torque control is one thing I saw. More specialty modes? Would a small display/readout on the tool that could toggle between showing accurate reading of torque, ipm, rpm, bpm, spm, or any other readouts that user may want to see (whichever ones make sense for each tool) make Bluetooth worth it? Just an idea I had.
  14. roid? typo or is it something I should know?
  15. gen 3 stuff? Would be nice to see a redesigned battery gauge with 4 bars instead of 3 and maybe 4 speed options/presets instead of 3
  16. 40v has more ope in the lineup than 60v or 20v. Backpack blower, pole hedge clippers (apparently not out yet?), 6 bay smart charger
  17. yes @BMack37 @Bremon guys common we can all agree Black and Decker is best haha
  18. We use the Bostich pancake at work and they do the job. I think we go through a compressor around once every 2 years.
  19. ah I see. At least they got an adapter. Other companies dont really need them though. Not like many people still use v18 or stick pack makitas.
  20. The thread about anything and everything Powermatic
  21. And everyone thought a 6 in cordless grinder was big... look at this thing. That quick rotate feature seems like a great feature.
  22. If you look closely at the picture the one on the far right is not a hammer drill. More like the Drill only variant of the 996?
