ikepete
Today with my tools I made a mess. I had to fix a dresser and didn't eve all the tools needed. I had to cut a board that was too wide to fit between two dresser drawers. The hack saw just wasn't cutting it and the Milwaukee razor knife could only cut so far lol. I know some of you may cringe at this post. I'm really good at the improper use of tools. ...When the Milwaukee knife didn't finish the job I took my screw driver and used it to to split the wood the rest of the way. It wasn't pretty but the job got done. I only cut myself a couple times...looks like my socket set I bought today could have waited lolSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

khariV
I got out the M18 planer last night to even out the trim on my shelf project and ended up making great piles of freaky looking sawdust. Stercorarius
If you hear buzzing coming out of my room at three in the morning, it's just me playing with Big Ron. Got it engraved this morning and a temporary solution for the previous engraving. I used the Dremel engraver. It's an awesome tool for $25. Sorry for butchering single stroke gothic.

Made from cherry and joined together with biscuits. Just have to put a couple coats of poly on it and it'll be good to go. Second I made this miter/table saw station. I made it so that the height of the table saw table is level with the miter saw. I can also use the fence of the table saw as a stop block on the miter saw. If I have to rip something wide on the table saw, I can just life off the miter saw and be good to go. I like how the fence of the DeWalt table saw is removable so I can cut really long pieces on the miter. Just have to run to Harbor Freight to grab some casters and it'll be finished! Put my brand new DCD791 drill and Kreg pocket hole jig to some good use tonight! Good stuff man.

jtkendall
Did some sanding today, had I not had to go to the dump I probably would have got them completely finished. As it stands I still need to go over them with 220 and then apply a finish. The cordless Makita sander worked really well, it took half a 3.0 battery but it's really nice to not need an extension cord or be able to work outside. The cheap $0.79 earplugs worked well too.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
NicolasRamos
I used the 1 3/8" Milwaukee shockwave holesaw for the first time today! It cut threw the Hoffman Jbox easily! I only had to make the one hole though, so I didn't get to try out the other sizes. Or see if there would be a difference after adjusting the one-key profiles. I like how shallow they are, I think I'm going to buy more, and keep a 7/8" in my Tech MCT for when I install Eaton surge protectors on panels. Stercorarius
Did some of this With this. The thing is massive and awesome. The sketchy part is there is so much momentum in the extended boom and I was on a frozen solid ditch bank that when I slowed too quickly to dump it slid me right off the bank. A little size reference. Sure that's just muddy water ?.

NicolasRamos
So we're doing a built to order log home. So the timber guys cut in the box locations to size for metal gangable boxes, and run the wiring on all the exterior walls, as they build the structure. In our area it is highly frowned upon to use metal gangable boxes in any form of resi. 4" square boxes with mud rings are allowed, but in the case of timber homes exterior walls there's no wallboard to create a proper finish around a mud ring.Don't get me wrong I'm glad that they cut them, I would have had to be there every day of framing just to do what they were already paid for in the cost of the home(regardless of how little I liked the result), but they were barely square, and full of inconsistencies. And it's hard to pull the wiring back through some spots to hone out the holes to the correct size. This guy couldn't even stay on his mark! Still have a few to go tomorrow. The wiring they left coiled in the ceiling from the box locations weren't labeled either, so I had to spend half of yesterday just identifying cables! This evening I got to replace the battery in my old Transit-250. The guys who swapped into it only got a few days before the battery died on them. Got to is a strong choice of words...Didn't get pics of the new battery going in. But because of my particular van's battery setup(single battery) I had to remove a plastic "stop block" that aides in keeping the battery from shifting in the compartment. After that comes out and you get the - clamp loose, you rotate the battery 90 degrees to remove the + cable. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but still not as easy as removing a battery in an engine bay. Granted I've never swapped a battery that's located under the drivers seat before!
