comp56
ya that was what I was thinking you could get same results with dividers and then carry more if need be....
locksmithmatt
Dividers is a good ideaIt is a expensive way but when it fits in the tough rack in the back of the van it's a tidy way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jeffmcmillan
If you really want compact, wrap a bunch of tubes with a bungee cord. The trick is to use a spent tube to push a new one out of the bundle so it stays the same size. As much as I like to keep things compact though, that crate has style. Jon Freiberg
What do you think of the tote so far? I've been stopping by HD and our local Dewalt dealer hoping to come across one. I'm planning to use it for my collection of drywall knives and accessories.
framer
speaking of totes, dewalt makes some soft sided ones also that are pretty nice.http://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DG5587-14-Inch-Open-top-Carrier/dp/B001P30BPA
locksmithmatt
It's simple and effective , on Saturday I wanted to clear up quick so I ran around and picked up all my odds n Sod's tools stuck them in the tote and in the van they went (worry about them this morning ) It's handy if you have a main hand toolbag but then want to take a few select bits into the job , chuck them all in , easy the carry A shoulder strap would make a good addition I think it would also be a ideal up grade from a bucket of tools if your a bricky, plasterer painter etc , looks a lot more professional , and it's totally water proof , good for putting it down in wet n muddy jobs , not so good when it's raining and going to fill up with water In some aspects it's more handy than a ds300/ds400 as odd shape tools can stick out the top while you still have it on a stack of boxes on the trolly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
locksmithmatt
Just looked again and there's 4 small drain holes in the bottom , so not as water tight as I first thought Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jon Freiberg
Since I can't find one yet to see for myself. Can the handle on that particular be removed? I know two different totes are coming to market, just curious if that has the option to.

RickyMcGrath
It says "ships in 7-10 business days" on there. I've had some bad experiences with that type of situation. They're most likely going to have it drop shipped directly from the manufacturer. Let me know when you get it.
coxwelljosh
Dividers would be a good idea. But overall this tote could be used for many different purposes to get things to and from a job. Can you attach other totes to this one? PaulE
i got mine today. It is different then the one pictured above. It has no top handle, just side handles. Almost looks like that one is a Tstak version, the one i got is tough systems. It is rugged, and a good size for my daily use cordless tools. I will add a top handle for easier one handed carrying.
