  1. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-FASTBACK-Camo-Flip-Knife-with-Free-FASTBACK-Flip-Utility-Knife-48-22-1990C/207132431 Milwaukee knife set less than $20 http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-Tough-System-DS130-22-in-Case-Tool-Box-DWST08130/207205062 $26 you would have $14ish left for engraving or printing their names. They wouldn't even have to store tools in them another idea. red pen with white engraving (milwaukee colors).
  2. @JimboS1ice Whats your budget for each person? Would a festool systainer with their names professionally engraved or printed on to them work? something m12? Milwaukee camo knife+utility knife kit? tough system box? Some kind of tool that would look nice displayed on a shelf?
  3. nice. any more obscure tools you want us to guess @Conductor562?
  4. metric is a base 10 system which means when converting to a different measurement all you gotta do is move the decimal to the left or right the correct amount of spaces. Seems fairly easy to me. ie: 1mm =.1cm. Milwaukee makes an imperial/metric tape for those who use both. I think my dad probably taught me how to read a tape when I was young. Anyone know how to use an architects scale? we use them to read house plans.
  5. the 130 on home depots usa site is cheaper than the 150.
  6. on paper the Milwaukee warranty is 5 year LIMITED but seems like the limited gets left out. Also I notice that the dewalt 3 year limited hardly ever gets the limited left out. hmm
  7. the dewalt impact is faster than milwaukee on small fasteners but slower on large fasteners.
  8. minden, nebraska. something like 13 miles south of interstate 80. If you know the arch that spans the interstate in nebraska then the exit is a few miles east of it. Nearest ace, menards, and builders is 20 to 30 mins away. Nearest home depot is 40 to 60 mins away. nearest lowes is 2 hours away.
  9. tough box 150 vs 130? I got a 130 but haven't ever used a 150. The boxes appear to be similar. Could a 20v planer fit in a 130 or 150? Thinking of getting another box to fit a planer and a multitool.
  10. wow. how do you even use that much battery in one day @Framer joe? I struggle to use a 2.0 in one week.

    New Clamps

maybe try some quickgrip from Irwin. They come in a variety of sizes. The small ones are fairly weak on the clamping power so I would suggest a bigger model of quickgrip. I would suggest Andrew Klein's parallel clamp he designed because it not only has horizontal clamping pressure but also has vertical pressure as well. It is still in the prototype stage so I can't suggest it.
  12. @Bremon what box is the 100?
  13. well here we go. I got my first tough system box.
  14. @Conductor562 your busier than kids at school. In 3 sports, plus 3 or 4 clubs, plus music, plus homework, plus 1 or 2 things outside of school.
  15. I didn't get much for Christmas. I got a pair of steel toed work shoes that have a similar look to an athletic shoe, a DeWALT t-shirt, $25 Lowes gift card, and my first DeWALT tough system box. It's okay I didn't get much like you guys because Christmas shouldn't be about gifts it should be about the real gift that came, Jesus.
  16. thats cool. I had a couple classes in school that used solidworks. Its usually a nice program.
  17. Im not a big fan of the 3M paper I use at work. its more of a paper joined to a foam like backing. I felt you can't get as much pressure on the paper as you can with paper that isn't back with foam.
  18. was an interesting program to try. Nothing like the drafting programs I use at school.
  19. I was wondering if your shop was overhauled yet since the next year has come.
  20. @Oilpatch what do you think of having an L shaped work bench with wheel casters on it? Also could make it so it splits in half for the option of 2 small work tables or one large worktable.
  21. nice shop. How does the wood fair when being in the carport? does it keep well? Looks like you did a good job at enclosing the carport.
  22. what did Eric think? @Logan
